I think imu’s fruit is the Umi Umi no Mi or something like it. The Umi Bozu is a yokai that takes the form of a massive black human sillhouette, can control the ocean, and is known for sinking ships. If you look it up it looks almost exactly like her devil fruit

I think Imu is Rock D. Xebec who had the immortality surgery performed on him that Donflamingo wanted from Law's DF (cause why would they bother mentioning it otherwise). I hate fake thumbnails they haven't actually identified Imu's devil fruit, but from the little we saw of when Sabo infiltrated the empty throne room Imu has an ability that is kind of an amalgamation of the darkness fruit and the shadow fruit Moria has, or that's entirely wrong and the just obstructed what was really attacking the Alabasta king like a tail because the gorosei were shown transforming but only as silhouettes.

Imu is probably a mix between a cartoon style devil and an UmiBozu as well as a serpent called the Nure-ona. The latter two known for drowning people at sea. The Nure-ona Yokai even commands the UshiOni aka what Saturns devil fruit ended up being.

I would guess when Luffys Nika-Devilfruit brings joy and bondness to everyone that stands with him. And Imus Devilfruit is the direct Counterpart to the Nikafruit. Then Imus Fruit has to have the effect to bring sorrow and discord to everyone that stands against him. That would made the Battle between Ruffy and Imu the ultimative Battle of the Kings.
I hate fake thumbnails they haven't actually identified Imu's devil fruit, but from the little we saw of when Sabo infiltrated the empty throne room Imu has an ability that is kind of an amalgamation of the darkness fruit and the shadow fruit Moria has, or that's entirely wrong and the just obstructed what was really attacking the Alabasta king like a tail because the gorosei were shown transforming but only as silhouettes.
I say that Imu has an Anti-Water Devil Fruit since it would make him an incredibly powerful and enigmatic figure in the series & his mastery of such an OP one could potentially make them a direct counter to water-based Devil Fruit users like the Fish-Man Karate practitioners and it could reveal more about Imu's intentions and motivations, as the possession of such a rare and powerful ability would likely have significant implications man!

Imu is probably a mix between a cartoon style devil and an UmiBozu as well as a serpent called the Nure-ona.
The latter two known for drowning people at sea. The Nure-ona Yokai even commands the UshiOni aka what Saturns devil fruit ended up being.

Luffy and Imu's fight will take place in the ocean,there,imu will show her fruit that is the Hito-Hito no mi Model:Umi Bozu,the umi bozu is a tall black figure found by specifically Pirates in myths,and when oda showed what the fruit of the gorosei and imu's fruit,shes portrayed to be a gigantic black monsters wrecking buildings,like the umi bozu ripping ships

Blackbeards fruit is literally the opposite of luffys, he is the sun god the light, Blackbeard the dark, luffy gives power and freedom in gear 5, Blackbeard takes away others powers and traps them. Also they’re like complete mirror images of each other, making up imus fruit and trying to saying it is the opposite of luffys fruits is a pretty baked potato for a brain thought

Correct me if I am wrong but I think that the reason why both Imu himself and his powers look black is because, for now, it's just a silhouette. Yea him and his powers 'could' eventually turn out to actually be black but for now it's clear that it's just a dark silhouette to hide the real appearance. (I saw so many people talk about his powers as if it was confirmed that they are actually dark... did I miss something in the manga that confirms this? or are people just stating assumptions as if they were facts?)
