Your “where my hug at” just evolved into a “you gotta give me a kiss”! I heard at level 36 it evolves into “Uber? I have a perfectly drivable minivan! GET IN THE CAR”
@@ryanappelbaum8168literally same bro. Not to blow myself but I’ve worked with quite a few celebs and I can assure you that a large majority of them actually prefer it that way. They get used to people bombarding them all the time so when you just act normal around them and just be cool and respectful, they definitely appreciate it!
The crazy thing about these is the intersection of awkwardness and confidence. Like usually social awkwardness manifests itself as being shy but these people are somehow as bold as possible despite having no idea how to interact
I blame it on pick-up artistry and bizarre dating advice online - if you act 'confident and dominant', these female creatures will do whatever you say! Then they find out that in the real world, it doesn't work.
I feel like these people aren't socially awkward but social unaware/inept. Socially awkward people are hyper aware of social constructs/rules and are overwhelmed/made nervous by them. Socially unaware/inept people do not know/understand those rules and constructs and that's why they have the ability to be completely confident in their awkwardness and double down. They don't know what they're doing is weird/awkward and/or they don't know they're supposed to care (and thus not do the weird thing they're doing).
Some people know they can get away with bad behavior and some people are autistic or have similar traits. I'm autistic and I never did anything like ask to be in charge of a bunch of people at Tesla, but like when people said "BE BOLD! BE UNEXPECTED! FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT!" i was like "ok" and it didn't go well. Like people give really awful advice about "success" and a lot of us take it seriously, plus we don't necessarily have the same background understanding to be able to follow good advice anyway. Like we often get a different message from a statement than neurotypical people would I'm gonna be honest, usually the times I was most humiliated was because I took someone seriously and did what I thought they were saying I should do (not that it's their fault, but there's a communication breakdown at best) The Tesla dude reads very autistic and/or mentally ill to me. Whether he's autistic or not (whether he's gifted or not), he's describing a really autistic experience of having immense skill in an area that would benefit a lot of people, but not even being able to get a job because people don't like you or you're read as creepy or whatever. (Sometimes people are creepy for sure but sometimes it's just "i don't like how you make eye contact")
@@cashwin45 But you were an underage person so the maturity growth was still in process. Most of these dudes in the video were grown adults so that’s when it’s embarrassing.
I've always told my partners that I hate public proposals so that if our relationship ever got to that point they would hopefully know not to do that, because I would be so uncomfortable and embarrassed omg
@@WillWright77 id like to hope and think that anyone who proposes is pretty sure they will say yes. If they’re not sure idk why anyone would put themselves in that situation
I got proposed to in public. I said yes for the sake of not embarrassing him and then when we were alone I started crying and said I don't want to get married. Idk if that's better or worse than just saying no instantly. I felt pressured to say yes because he did it in public in front of strangers.
Honestly I am convinced that some people propose in public specifically BECAUSE they know the person will feel more pressured to say yes. But that's very short sighted since, just like you, they'd probably just reject them in private after.
“Cody it’s been 2, I mean 10 years that I’ve been waiting to meet you. I too am a super level comedian and I would like to be the third member of TMG.” *all said through a trembling voice*
I will never understand the concept of trying to get a perfect stranger to kiss you just cause. The last person I kissed was someone I had known for years before we became romantically involved. I hate being judgemental but that guy was absolutely awful 🤬
Lol it was a nice wholesome fail in my opinion. If that were my fiance trying to propose to me i'd show the video at the wedding just because it's funny
The proposal where she didn't turn around wasn't really sadcringe, it was just funny lol. That's a great story to tell your kids / friends. "So yeah, first time I tried to propose she literally walked away without looking at me"
if he would have laughed about it, yeah. But he just fucking sat there... Even if she would have turned around after 5 seconds, the moment would have been already ruined by awkwardness.
Here's a tip, DON'T propose unless you know she would say yes. I don't get these guys that treat a proposal like it's asking a girl to a date or for her number.
It’s also SO important to know whether or not your partner would be comfortable bring proposed to in front of a crowd of people!! How awful for someone who hates the spotlight to be forced into it. My fiance chose to do a public proposal because he knew i’m a slut for attention and applause. If you don’t know your partner, you shouldn’t be marrying them!
Id say this mostly applies to public proposals. But yea absolutely, don't propose out of nowhere. Marriage should have at least been discussed before popping the question.
@Athan Jareth Yeah, I know. I legitimately don't understand why any non-religious person would agree to get married. I'm guessing some dude's end up in an ultimatum where if he doesn't propose she'll leave; but that's clearly not what's happening in any of these videos.
He goes wild, destroys his Elon shrine in the basement, waits outside Tesla for months and the perfect opportunity, kidnaps Elon, ties him up, throws him in the trunk, then proceeds to drive the car off a bridge. People say “that took balls” when someone does something like that guy but the truth is it doesn’t take balls it just takes a crippling lack of self awareness and a whopping dose of stupidity 😭
ya that guy struck me as a clinically delusional person who did that because he genuinely believes that he's a super genius who's worthy of being elon musk's right hand man, and that others can tell that he's an extremely special person. like i can't diagnose a guy from a video clip but the situation strikes me as mental illness
I feel like public proposals, although usually well intentioned, also put the person being proposed to in a really uncomfortable position if they’re not sure or willing. I’ve heard of stories where toxic partners basically guilted their SO’s into accepting their proposals by doing them publically or at family gatherings. Obviously it depends on relationship to relationship and how much the partners involved have talked abt proposals but i feel like the best option for both parties (esp in a situation where one isn’t sure abt the other’s response) tends to be a private proposal.
Yeah, you always look like the bad guy for rejecting the proposal. What’s worse is some guys will get rejecting in private and then try again in public to pressure the girl to say yes. I know that from personal experience.
Man that guy with Elon musk hurt. He literally asked to be VP and everyone just busted out laughing. That was so sad. And he just sat there DEAD serious saying he was a super genius. Ugh
it has to be a joke. I don't think the dude was actually serious. It has to be .. there's no way it can be real. Dude was prolly just doin a bit or somethin.
I've always wondered about this when I watched Hollywood movies. But then I thought maybe since they know each other for so long they may have expressed it at some point in time
People should SERIOUSLY stop with these super public out in the open proposals, especially if they're not 1 million percent sure the person is going to say yes. For both parties. Like, being proposed to is already a incredibly big gesture. No one needs a crowd chanting around them to say yes or anything else. And on top of that, should they say no, the other person is left there not only sad but incredibly embarrassed. Just don't do it. Worst part is the amount of flack you see people get in comments of videos like that for saying no like they're all of a sudden the villain. I promise you, as nice as grandiose things like that are, if someone is truly in love with you and wants to spend the rest of their life with you, it doesn't matter how you propose as long as you do it.
Your last line there is so true. My husband proposed to me over the phone, while he was in India & myself in the US. He did it bc I was crying, going through such a hard time. I had told him right before, that I just needed something good to happen to me, bc I was buried in negativity at that moment. Life felt like it was falling apart around me & I was clearly struggling. 😭🥺 So he popped the question. I was surprised, but it meant SO much to me. I knew I wanted to marry him ASAP, already. It didn't matter *how* he proposed, as long as he did so. I was & am still madly in love with him. He told me that he had obviously planned to do it in person, but knew I needed some positivity & hope, right then. I frickin love him. 8 years together, 5 years married. ❤🥰👰💍🤵💒
I totally agree, and I think that even for those who know 1,000,000% that the answer to the question is yes, even then it’s still super important to consider your S/O and how receptive they are to social situations. If I had proposed to my fiancée in public like that, she would have undoubtedly had a major panic attack and a very special moment of our lives would have been completely ruined by a lack of awareness and care on my part. To be fair, if you’re aware that your partner would be against a public proposal and you do it anyways? It might be good to reevaluate before putting the ring on…
public proposals would so obviously only work if previously discussed in detail, I don't know why people set themselves up like this. whoever thinks a public proposal should be a complete surprise is setting themselves up for failure and putting the other person on the spot unfairly :(
Yeah, gotta agree with you. Even if they were head-over-heals in love, their partner might still say no because of how uncomfortable they are - or say yes and later be like...”but wait”. I’d probably say nothing because the social anxiety would freeze me, haha.
i remember like a decade ago when a public proposal went viral and everyone in the comments called the woman a bitch for running away. i'm glad to see that the internet's view on public proposals has changed, lol.
It’s lowkey alarming how much of these ‘cringe’ moments are just disrespecting women’s boundaries…the dude begging for a kiss…the dude asking for a bj…the dude threatening to kill himself…like it’s not even sad it’s just borderline sexual harassment tbh
If it’s in public, you have to ask the girl before hand if she’s comfortable being proposed to in public like that. Simple communication goes a long way
You guys do realize proposal are supposed to be a surprise right, I understand talking about marriage but discussing exactly how the proposal will be is counterproductive
@@p0kepix3ls there’s a difference between talking about if you’re okay with a public proposal in general and discussing specific details like where and when. Most women do not like public proposals.
i don't know if anyone needs to see this but PLEASE, for the love of god, do NOT do a public proposal unless you've spoken about it before. it's literally the least you can do for everyone involved.
@@Peyton1218 also hilarious when used in the context of "my mom saw that I killed myself, but instead of calling 911, she went on her son's snapchat to tell the last person they were talking to that he killed himself."

His mom got on his phone to message the girl and she pretended “to have killed herself” and acted like her mom was texting back. Catfish chick went to jail though
Public proposals have always rubbed me the wrong way, especially when the person being proposed to runs away/rejects them and is painted as the bad guy. It just feels so controlling and manipulative in a way? Like trying to shame the person into saying yes because if they don't *they'll* be the bad guy, not the proposer. I know that not all public proposals are done by someone toxic but it feels like a lot of them are, and if it ever happens to me unexpectedly I would feel absolutely humiliated (especially if there was little to not talk about engagement to begin with).
@@dialexthesmoreeater7687 the girl gets humiliated too, not just the guy. it should always be talked about beforehand and done at a proper place and time, that’s why they’re always rejected.

i think if the girl hates public attention make it private, if she likes everyone to see those things make it big. but if you haven’t been sure you’re both ready and have planned a future why would you even propose. it’s like trying to trap them in your life because you know they aren’t ready.
I don't know if that even bothered him. Like it looked like it just didn't phase him. I think he knew they would laugh but didn't care cause in his "super genius" mind, they're all beneath him anyway. Total lack of self-awareness

I feel like Cody enjoys buying rugs, but Kelsey doesn't like them so everytime he brings one home she has him put it in his office. So many rugs just stacked up 😂
The key to a successful public proposal is making sure that: 1. Everyone that is directly involved is aware of the plan and wants it to go down smoothly. 2. Your partner is comfortable with the idea of a public proposal. 3. *Your partner confirms that they actually really want to marry you* !!! The surprise should be the time and place not the concept of marriage itself!!!
The first clip reminded me of the time a friend asked me out by writing a note in my notebook. When I politely declined and he asked why I just said "You're just not my type." He then proceeded to ask me what my type was which I answered "I'm not comfortable with that because then guys try to convince me how they are my type." and he said, "Oh I don't do that I'm just curious." So then I started to tell him what my type was and he kept interjecting with how he's actually exactly like that and perfect for me.
Damn I hate when guys do this. I just say “it’s too complicated to explain” not only is it pretty true it also makes them question themselves (which they should since they’re being creeps)
SAME OMG my friend did the exact same thing to me after i told him i don't like him like that in 8th grade. he kept asking over and over what made me like my crush but not like him. i started seeing him differently from that day on because i hate people who dont take no as an answer. he kinda redeemed himself sophomore year (where i finally gave him a chance) and it ended terribly. he violated my boundaries junior year while we were broken up and sometimes i blame myself because i should've saw the signs, but i did genuinely trust him before it happened
That must be so rough. I feel bad for women who have to deal with guys who think just by existing or being nice to a girl, they are entitled to be with them. They just ignore your wishes and feelings and think they can force something. It's so creepy and selfish.
The second guy, I was super sympathetic with. I am level 1 autism, it's a struggle to live with. People look at you and either can't tell (so they just think you're weird when you act different) or they can tell and immediately assume you're incapable of anything. I felt for this man when he asked for a second look, a chance to be regarded as anything other than disabled. I lost about 95% of that sympathy when he asked to be Vice Chairman. That remaining 5% is just sad cringe sympathy
ahhh so that’s what he meant when he said level 2. that video already made me sad but the confirmation that he is another man with autism like Elon and Elon just brushed him aside .. that shit was cruel.

@@darkschweppes Well of course it's not gonna be perfectly accurate, that's impossible, that's why it's call the spectrum, each person's disability is unique, even if slightly different. The levels are more about the severity than the specific type
my mom is pretty shy so my dad proposed to her in the car before they went into the restaurant because he thought she would be embarrassed by a public proposal, my mom teases him about it but i think it’s pretty sweet
That's really cute and thoughtful, might have to steal this one when the time comes because i don't think my gf would appreciate a public proposal either
I personally do not feel bad for public proposals going wrong. Whether they know it or not, the person proposing is trying use the pressure of the crowd/public into making the other person say yes in order to avoid this embarrassment. This can only work if they had an agreed upon plan of getting married before the proposal, meaning that the proposal is kind of just a formal 'presenting of the ring'. But a surprise public proposal, just dropping the idea of marriage, is just gross and not romantic at all. Good for the people who were strong enough to walk away. edit: the one where she just walked away and didn't even see him proposing is fucking hilarious. literally everything went wrong why did he not tell anyone and why did no one tell her, did NO ONE see him?
@@adso2686 it is being pressured, because the proposal was done in public there's now an audience for it. The person being proposed to will feel like they have to say yes, even if they're not ready yet or simply don't want to get married, just to avoid embarrassing their partner who they care about. If they had proposed in a more private setting, the person being proposed to could truly say yes or no without having that outside influence.
and even in that case of where both parties are in agreement to get married and know it will happen shortly still don't do a public proposal like this because a lot of people just don't like having all this attention, they prefer for it more of private affair, or a whole variety of reasons. basically only do a public proposal if both people are in agreement that want to get married, would like to be engaged, and like/enjoy public proposals. otherwise don't do a public one.
You shouldn't need a sticker chart to do the bare minimum as a parent. It might be funny if was just something about like doing chores around the house; but when there's a kid involved and you're literally their parent it's just super weird. Also, you need rewards in order to care for your child? Idk that gives me a funny feeling.
when cody says that hes hte one in prison? imagine how bad the wife has it if she has to do this to make the husband do normal things he should already be doing
yeah if the dad isn’t motivated to do all those things without the “award” i bet he would not be a good dad. honestly the mom would have the right to nag
Some might say it's romantic but I find that big public proposals (that haven't been agreed upon by the couple beforehand) just usually pressure the people into saying yes. If someone were to propose to me on such a big screen I would say no, too. I hate being put on the spot and having a big crowd basically expecting you to say yes is just insensitive on the proposing person. I bet a good part of the people that do say yes also said so because they wanted them to spare the embarrassment of rejecting them. So yeah, no. (As said this doesn't count for people who have talked about this or even agreed to get proposed in a public place or something)

The Disneyland proposal could’ve been dope 😅 like if he positioned himself where he was behind her but off to the side and then they take the pic, show her and she’s like “Wtf, whys he in the background?” Then she looks over and he’s still there on one knee with the ring. But no. Instead, he just hopes she’d randomly decide to turn around 💀
My husband did it and I loved it! But also I already knew he was proposing, he knew I would say yes, and we talked about how we wanted to do it. Mostly it was for the pics lol

It me.
@@VMYeahVN I think some of these people definitely know the rules but choose to ignore them because they think they are abive the rules
Like we often get a different message from a statement than neurotypical people would
I'm gonna be honest, usually the times I was most humiliated was because I took someone seriously and did what I thought they were saying I should do (not that it's their fault, but there's a communication breakdown at best)
The Tesla dude reads very autistic and/or mentally ill to me. Whether he's autistic or not (whether he's gifted or not), he's describing a really autistic experience of having immense skill in an area that would benefit a lot of people, but not even being able to get a job because people don't like you or you're read as creepy or whatever. Damn lol...that's dark.
Yeah but that was nice I think it's weird to do it in public I think it's a private thing and then you share.
Honestly I am convinced that some people propose in public specifically BECAUSE they know the person will feel more pressured to say yes. But that's very short sighted since, just like you, they'd probably just reject them in private after.

Here's a tip, DON'T propose unless you know she would say yes. I don't get these guys that treat a proposal like it's asking a girl to a date or for her number.
YES. It scares me when proposals come seemingly out of the blue, like they haven't talked about marriage before.
Also those people were in like high school or college
@Athan Jareth Yeah, I know. I legitimately don't understand why any non-religious person would agree to get married.
I'm guessing some dude's end up in an ultimatum where if he doesn't propose she'll leave; but that's clearly not what's happening in any of these videos.

“I’m the only one who asked” YOU DIDNT ASK. YOU TOLD HER SHE HAD TO.
I think the chances of the girl being the humiliated one in the end would be 0.001% lol
@@dialexthesmoreeater7687 the girl gets humiliated too, not just the guy. it should always be talked about beforehand and done at a proper place and time, that’s why they’re always rejected.
@@dialexthesmoreeater7687 oh sure, everyone likes breaking their partners heart and expectations in front of lots of strangers, especially when said strangers are intently watching your every move. Who cares everyone knows you're in completely different places than your romantic partner, not embarrassing at all. It's every girls dream since the moment they are born to say no to a proposal in front of lots of random people.
i think if the girl hates public attention make it private, if she likes everyone to see those things make it big. but if you haven’t been sure you’re both ready and have planned a future why would you even propose. it’s like trying to trap them in your life because you know they aren’t ready.

1. Everyone that is directly involved is aware of the plan and wants it to go down smoothly.
2. Your partner is comfortable with the idea of a public proposal.

I just say “it’s too complicated to explain” not only is it pretty true it also makes them question themselves (which they should since they’re being creeps)
when someone says "just curious" you bet they're going to debate you into dating them
i feel bad for doing this but i just say i like girls lmao

But attributing a level is more accurate than simply calling it Asperger's (which has bad history, that's the main reason we switched) or any other label.
That's so cute, a partner that respects the other person's comfortable level is a must
I personally do not feel bad for public proposals going wrong.
I mean, the one getting proposed isn’t really pressured, they can make their own decision. But maybe I don’t get it. I’m sorry if I’m wrong.
@@reinahaigh2155 Yeah no, that does sound weird. It’s like public pressure, right?
Moral of the story is, don’t do public proposals unless you know the person is 100% gonna say yes
and even in that case of where both parties are in agreement to get married and know it will happen shortly still don't do a public proposal like this because a lot of people just don't like having all this attention, they prefer for it more of private affair, or a whole variety of reasons.
basically only do a public proposal if both people are in agreement that want to get married, would like to be engaged, and like/enjoy public proposals. otherwise don't do a public one.

My partner would never. I play too much I’d fuck around and say no bc it’s funny 😂

My bf at the time said I could use his computer one day and I found him looking for wedding rings. We never talked marriage before so that situation was possibly in the near future for me. Thank Christ I did that because I probably would’ve done the same thing that girl did.
Guys, at least talk about it before you pop the question and if you are gonna go in blindly then don’t make it a public place.
YUH, it's a boundaries thing too.... but I guess the "romanticism" of it overweighs that thought :/
Out of all the things you could've found him looking at the wedding ring was probably the least offensive.
@@wisemage0 yeah, the cp would’ve definitely been worse
that first one was neither sad nor cringey for me, it just pissed me off. guy was being a straight up creep
I think it's underrated how good Cody is at acting in his bits, I can picture him in a half mediocre Netflix film
He and Noah Centineo on the same movie. Would be great 😂
i’m so late on this but honestly, he could be in good movies too, he’s so good at putting himself in others shoes that he’d be good at acting!
after that last guy and the "brother-zoned" shit idk if i can handle this one, thanks though cody 😃

Seriously. I think this one might be too advanced for me
@Okaro Shinn i Know right😂😂 I literally just laughed remembering this I’m gonna watch that video again!
The editor also laughing and loosing they're shit while singing the backtrack for the 3rd video is gold
Cody I have been aching and yearning to talk to you for two years I think you should make me the third host of the podcast. LISTEN TO ME THIS IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE PATREON SUPPORTERS.

@@RoyPhilipose1 loser
The fact that the tesla guy replied I-
@@RoyPhilipose1 this comment has nothing to do with you dude you’re too close to crossing that line my friend
I mean honestly shout out to that guy for making a crazy billionaire uncomfortable for even one moment
Cody could do a whole episode just with crazy people at Q&As with Elon. For a few years they really didn't screen out questioners at all.
Well Elon has Asperger's as well so of course he is gonna not handle that social cringe well.
Yeah shoutout to that guy! Fuck billionaires 😎

To me it looked like a prank lol
@@SaintShion I refuse to believe it's not for my own sake
i’ll never understand why it’s considered a good idea to do a proposal of any kind in public lmao
same
My husband did it and I loved it! But also I already knew he was proposing, he knew I would say yes, and we talked about how we wanted to do it. Mostly it was for the pics lol
Cody making himself giggle is probably one of my favorite things on this planet
The most cringe part was that Elon didn't hire that mega genius. He all of tesla, and shareholders are really missing out.
Yeah i'm not sure Elon understood that he said he was a genius level 2 stage, he really could have got tesla and there shareholders making some money finally.
@@flyinglegfist247 I wonder what genius level 1 is
@@AE-kd4kr - I think you have to be a genius level 1 to understand what a genius level 1 is.

How did Cody not comment on the fact that the only one the husband was even close to completing was for the BJ reward?! By far the funniest part of the whole chart
already knew how bad it was going to be when i heard “i’m a capitalist like yourself”
Who’s here after Cody edited out the “lawsuit”
No clue
