First one she was trying to catch something that was already about to fall second the wheels turn before she does the gesture, if you've ever trying pushing a shopping cart really fast its hard to get it into a straight path since the wheels are unpredictable and will make it swerve, the gesture was likely her just getting ready to catch it and following its motion in case it kept going and she needed to catch it.
