I was gifted one of these a month ago (non-working). It has been a lengthy restoration....dead contact switches, corrosion from leaky battery (replacement and jumper wires needed), PSU dead, dead ICs, rusted slide potentiometers, dead LEDs, keybed contacts in gross shape, then inputs from the switches even physically electrically triggered were signaling the wrong thing (dead transistors). To have it finally up at 95% working (there are occasional hanging notes) for the first time was awesome. It was missing slider caps, so I designed new ones in CAD and had them injection molded. These machines are incredibly cool to mess around with...and great for coming up with ideas. And that internal drum machine is freaking awesome.
Wow this thing actually sounds really good. I was surprised it actually uses the M112 sound generator and top octave synthesis, but that SSM 2044 filter must make it really warm. Nice video.
Buying the real thing is expensive and also rare. The closest you can get with a modern machine which is a lot cheaper btw , is the Roland JD-XI. It’s like a loop synth, It has the drum machine with all the 80s/90s classics. An analogue synth, and classic Roland samples. If you have have the latest update it can also switch chords just like this Solton Machine.
Nice! Thanks for uploading this! I love Italo Disco. I always wondered what machine they were using! Now this is a synthesizer I'd like to play someday! Take care, Sam.
zajefajne!:)
Fajne :D Ładnie gada po zmiksowaniu i przeprocesowaniu na zewnątrz. Drugi egzemplarz?

An italo disco machine for sure! Grew up with this music and love it!
Oh God, so so raw sound of 1980s synth, it's amazing and unbelievable
1980's Forever!

This is simply spectacular! All in one compact synth... they should re-issue it, I would gladly buy one :-)
Bobby O (Bobby Orlando) , Pet Shop Boys' and New Order's music in their early years 👏👏👏👏👏👏
No wonder 80s music was about the best...
