This is truly one of the best videos I have ever watched. You took your time, allowing the novice to see the techniques necessary to create this beautiful field of poppies. Thank you so much for the patience and skill you have shared. Caroline
Hi Wendy - This is the first time I have watched one of your videos. I really like how you showed us how to paint the poppies. I will be painting this picture. It is so pretty. Thanks and Have a Great Day!
I don't see the colors or types of brushes listed in your description. Unless I'm having issues (technical). Do you do beginner tutorials at all? I love your paintings and the fact you use a large canvas. I just picked up a paint brush for the first time at the ripe ol' age of, well...over the hill ;) and trying to find some tutorials for total amateurs. But watching you I feel like I could follow if I'm able to see which colors you use, how, with which brushes, when you switch your brushes, how much paint, when you would clean your brush....I suppose that's a bit much. The further into your video I am seeing what a wonderful teacher your are. Do you ever take requests? To paint something specific? Do you have a patreon group? Thank you so much for sharing your incredible gift with the world. I hope I haven't bombarded you to much. I just never knew I had such a passion for this, even tho I'm a total beginner. The fact that you and other artists take the time to share and teach is inspiring and uplifting.
Wendy I am having a terrible time with the poppys first off I think I was not using enough paint on brush, but mine do not look like poppys lol. I try again
'so very beautiful..but I am a watercolor painter. Gonna try this anyways I have someone that has given me a photo from a trip she took and wants ME to paint it..Wish me Luck..first request I have had...Been watching tutorials and teaching myself (trying anyways) and she saw all the exercises I have done on paper and makes me feel a bit confident..I am 80 years old in 3 months...
It would be nice to know which colors you're using. At 3:32" we can see there's 2 colors been used, a red and another one that looks like some hue of yellow, or maybe is white. I don;t know. Can you tell which color is that one, please? I'd apreciate it. I loved your technic! Thank you for sharing!
THIS IS A WONDERFUL PAINTING. I LOVE MY POPPIES........DID YOU PAINT WITH OIL OR ACRYLICS....CAN YOU LIST THE BRAND OF THE PAINT AND THE COLORS.......THANKS FOR SHARING THIS AWESOME VIDEO.....:)
Hi Wendy my girlfriends and I just learning to paint and did your tutorial on weekend its was fun, question did you paint your canvas white first? We work on it again this weekend poppy problems, I painted over mine and start again. I look for your other videos.
Hi Anita, If the canvas I'm using is already prepared (white) I don't paint it before I paint on it. I still cover the entire canvas with paint even if it is a white area, so none of the original surface will show. I would love to see your paintings when done! I am working on a few more videos now! Thanks Anita!
Guess what..I did do 4 paintings to show her and what I thought was the best wasn't to her. She picked the one with what she thought was the best as far as the flowers went..Interesting to me..they all had their possiblity's ..ha ha..I did it in watercolor tho
I have only painted twice and I'm really liking it, I was hoping to make this but I found it a little frustrating because you didn't show us what colors you put on your brush and where on the brush, and I could have used a little more teaching during the painting, I was looking forward to watching you do the big tree but your hand was blocking it, and when you moved your hand I saw green with some yellow on the top of the branches. I think maybe it is because you mentioned it was for future students, so maybe you were holding back to get people to sign up for the class
This is truly beautiful
The flowers are just too good.the best i have seen on this subject.
Thank you so much 😊
Wow, with every brush stroke it came to life, beautiful. Thank you

Please speak up! Cannot hear you. Like the painting, though.
