It's different compared to the live action feature film version. There are some fictitious fugitives of theirs they showed, some of theirs weren't in the feature film.
I love GoGo Gomez, Joe Jitsu, Heap O'Calore, Hemlock Holmes & the Retouchables (named after the Untouchables, but they looking and behaving more like the Keystone Kops).
Mumbles, Pruneface and Flattop, Sketch Paree, The Mole and Joe Jitsu are my favorites. I wish there was an episode where Heap O’Calorie appeared in an episode with B-B Eyes and Flattop.
@@JintyandPugFan20 Joe Jitsu is my favorite of the main four. Despite being a horrible stereotype he's the single funniest character in the entire show. I also found Go-Go Gomez to be pretty funny too. Heap O'Calorie is just okay, but I have sort of a soft spot for him and I wish he made more appearances. I found Hemlock Holmes to be the least interesting character (aside from the fact that he's the only funny animal character in the entire show for some unknown reason) and I found the Retouchables to be more interesting than Hemlock himself (however I don't hate or even dislike Hemlock). I found all of the villains to be funny but I personally found Flattop and BB Eyes to be the least funny. I also wish Cheater Gunsmoke had more appearances, even though I didn't find him as funny as most of the other villains.
In all my years watching this, I had never seen GoGo Gomez. As a mexican, anything that makes fun of being really super mexican is usually hilarious(our whole family is like that. Another great example was Nacho Libre). And this was no exception. Haha Edit: thanks for posting this OP!
And it's NOT racist either, but commendable portrayals. Plus, these are the GOOD GUYS😉, and enjoyable!!! In the United States, anyone that isn't of British decent (republican politics), is looked down upon. I know, I'm Polish 🇵🇱😏!!!
LMAO! And in a SUPER IRONIC TWIST, at 8:47 Joe Jitsu can't find his car due to the fact that he used camouflage paint to make it INVISIBLE at 6:20 ! ("Oh dear! Have outsmarted own self! Cannot find own automobile!") Luckily for Joe, the crooks knock themselves out instantly when they dive head first into the rear end of his invisible car! :D
Why is Joe Jitsu running away from the crooks instead of using his jiu-jitsu skills on them? In other episodes, he has easily used those skinny arms to lift each pair of villains in the air and repeatedly bang their heads into the ground. And without needing to use leverage either. For some reason, there was no "so sorry; excuse prease" in this episode.
Only the wild ones have seeds though. The ones you find at the grocery store are domestic and were bred not only to be seedless, but also shaped in a way that they can easily be peeled open.
I remember the first time that my younger self saw a Dick Tracy comic strip -- which, of course, was a strip about serious police drama (more or less). How eagerly I scoured it for any sign of the characters that they had in this cartoon and how disappointed I was not to find them.
It appears the copyright date (even though it's fuzzy), is MCMLX (1960). I don't recall these at all, and there definitely wasn't reruns of it, on the local Philadelphia/New York channels, back in the late '60's, early'70's. Not too bad. I see the supervising director, is Abe Levitow. The same person, that did the later on, Bug's Bunny's. Some people may hold a grudge, on the racial stereotypes depicted here, but it's not racist. These peoples DO EXIST, and no one can cancel, them out☺️!!! They're the GOOD GUYS, and winning, correct?? I tried my assortment of 3-D glasses, and the traditional red & blue/green one's, work a little bit. But that's on my phone, maybe a bigger monitor🤔.
I remember seeing Dick Tracy on TV in about 1969 or 70. I never liked it back then. It was just the same stupid gags over and over. It was only worth watching while waiting for Underdog. There was a black and white TV show with actors too. Never liked that either. Used to watch Combat instead.
Man, this is sooooo racist.......but at the same time, interesting. Probably because of the villains. After all. The Dick Tracy villains are always the best.
I loved this as a kid. They played reruns all the time at some point in the mid-late 80s for a while.
Thanks for sharing 🎉

I could tell you one thing about Dick Tracy; he's not Inspector Clouseau, although it's exaggeration.
Sacre Bleu! That's Closeau!
I love Go-Go Gomez, and Joe Jitsu, I started liking the Dick Tracy Show since 2016, it’s because old cartoons are better :)
These were great! I really enjoyed watching them! Thanks!

I particularly remember The Vile Inn Case; the show was rerunning on KCOP TV Ch. 13 in Los Angeles in the early '70s. Still fun today.
Omg i was 10 when I used to watch this in Baghdad, Iraq
You got to see them, over there, and I didn't get a chance, to see them over here (the US). AND, they're produced here🙄

Bananas do have seeds, Hemlock, just not as big as diamonds.

It's all about misusing intelligence.
I expected the show would be like the comic strip, instead we got a standard stupid funny cartoon show for kids........ And I was a kid myself...!

Paul Frees as Go Go Gomez
Paul Frees also voiced Heap O'Calorie but none of his episodes are featured in this video
hemlock should have used his nose when it comes to crooks.
Ay yi ya yi! Yo no tengo chonez!

Those ghosts look more like klansmen to me. Of course I'm talking about the hooded masks.
I don't see it because their hoods aren't pointy.

For modern standard but not at the time this was made.. You need to take into context and view this with the nuance of when it was made ..

Wait untill you see what they say about them a generation from now.
