Character Descriptions:
Nick: Age 10. Only child. Loves his family and can only see the goodness in people. He’s relatively talkative and enjoys playing Roblox.
Amy: Mother to Nick. Foster mother to Shelly. Kind as can be to Nick, but holds a disdain for Shelly. Not a very attentive mother in general.
Luke: Father to Nick. Absent, always on his phone, pays very little attention to everyone.
Shelly: Age 10. Foster child briefly adopted by Amy & Luke. Patient and kind. Pretty quiet. She just wants to be loved. Enjoys playing Roblox.
Ms. Nellie: Science teacher at the school. She sees Shelly’s potential before everyone else. She cares about her students deeply.
Adoption agent: Works at the adoption center.
Synopsis:
Nick is bored and Amy has an idea, she’ll foster a child for Nick to play with. Enter Shelly. Shelly is almost immediately despised by Amy for only one reason, she isn’t her birth child. After a few awful weeks, Nick and Shelly attend school where they meet Ms. Nellie. Ms. Nellie sees something in Shelly and, after deciding she doesn’t want shelly to suffer any longer, she offers to take Shelly in herself. Unfortunately, Amy isn’t giving up. She wants Shelly for her own, even though she hates
