Hello ma'am🙏 I totally agree Ladakh should get statehood and schedule 6 and all but i have some questions please answer it in detail. 1) Ladakh was part of J&K state, so you want prior 2019 state? 2) How your tribalism get affected? I just can't correlate what's happening or happened in Manipur with Ladakh. Do you even know why Manipur is in this situation? 3)How your environment comes into danger? Does government setting industries over there? As far as I am aware only military infrastructure are being built to counter enemy across the border. Are you and Sonam ji suggesting we should stop all this and handover part of country to them? 4) Aren't you aware election is going to held in couple of months? Once new government came into power start protesting and raising your voice. 5) Sonam Wangchuk has passed derogatory comments against religious beliefs of Hindu aren't you gonna condemn that? Threatening government that Ladakh scouts won't follow orders is that a correct way to put your point? 6) Sonam Wangchuk looks like he is politically aligned with opposition party, same party who talks about division in society, appeasing one community blindly, like you are worried about tribalism and all we are also worried about the fundamental nature of this country. However, it ended up as a UT WITHOUT legislature, lacking safeguards. Hence, we're now demanding statehood and the 6th schedule. Moreover, as I mentioned, the BJP has boldly stated in its manifesto that it will grant Ladakh the 6th schedule in 2019. 2. Tribalism in Ladakh has been historically integral to its social fabric. The concern arises from the existence of indigenous micro-endangered tribal communities in Ladakh that need immediate protection. So the 6th schedule provides the power to protect our tribal communities. Sir, I’m very well aware of the current situation in Manipur. I’m correlating Manipur with Ladakh based on the fact that the government has turned its back and hasn't taken any actions just like Manipur. In terms of violence, Ladakh is more peaceful and has been supporting peaceful protests only. 3. YES, Ladakh's environment is under threat. Ladakh is an extremely ecologically sensitive area where the government has sanctioned various industrial projects. For example, the proposal to set up an 80-kilometer solar plant in Ladakh covers nomadic areas like Changthang. This poses a great threat to the tribal communities of Changthang, as they are completely dependent on this grazing area. Moreover, there are proposal of plans which at the end, will exploit resources in Ladakh, that could lead to dirty water (Ladakh already has a limited water supply and relies heavily on glaciers for its water needs) and harsh pollution of the clean air that Ladakh is known for. Regarding military infrastructure, Ladakh and its people have been and will continue to support the government. However, these industrial projects mainly benefit industrial giants. Lastly, I guess you aren’t aware but Ladakh has been raising voices and participating in peaceful protests for many years, not just during election times. Im very much not interested in getting involved into politics and “propangas” that you have mentioned.
