oh the memories, the burnout series definitely brings lots of nostalgia for me. While Burnout 3 was my first burnout (and I played every subsequent one after that), I felt Paradise was the one I loved the most. It was the first one to have introduced an open world for Burnout and it brought back many of the past cars (such as the Custom Coupe Ultimate from B3 but renamed as Hydros Techno). Aside from that, what sets it apart for me was the online challenges. It really encouraged all of us to work together in the lobby to complete various challenges. Some challenges such as the "every player jump over each other" challenges, it was almost like an orchestrated performance. Like, most of us back then didn't use voice chat, but we all understood the challenge and took turns lining ourselves up after the ramp for each other to jump over. God the memories, if only we could relive those times again where there were plenty of lobbies of people who are actually wanting to complete challenges / go for a cruise. And don't get me started on the music too, amazing soundtrack.. some of which still linger in my playlist which I listen to from time to time :)
Burnout 3 was also my first in the series! I loved the showtime events of Burnout 3, such mindless carnage. I played a bit of Revenge but it didn't grab me much, and ironically I bought Paradise at launch (360) and left it untouched for years. Then I returned to it and was gutted I left it so long! Absolutely agree regarding the challenges, too. We had a few 8 player ones where one or two people would really struggle, but the teamwork, advice, helping each other... What a blast! I never finished that achievement on the 360 and I regret it to this day, would've loved the double completion. Always crossing my fingers and hoping for another game to release.
I played this game to death back in the day on PS3, it was absolutely my most played game for a very long time, I played it from the day it came out to the day the servers for online finally shut down. Getting the Jansen P12 Diamond was my proudest achievement for this game as beating all 500 Freeburn challenges is honestly a completely ridiculous task that I have no idea how my much younger self completed. So many of those challenges required 8 random players to cooperate! All told I clocked 2.4k hours in game on my main account. Thanks for the entertaining video, it does my heart some good to see Burnout Paradise talked about to this day :)
I actually never knew the Jansen P12 Diamond was thing despite completing the game twice - that's super impressive! I did the 8 player challenges on my playthrough and it was painful getting some of the slightly less skilled players to get some of the challenges done. I can't imagine doing that for 7, 6, 5, etc, too! It does my heart some good to know that occasionally someone like you stumbles on one of my videos, it certainly makes all the effort feel worth it. Gotta appreciate the dedication. Love the series, have spent about 150h total on all games (burnout 3, revenge, dominator and paradise), but am not even close to 100% completion in any of them 😂, maybe cuz i played on different systems (emulation, ps2, x360, pc, ps4). Overall love the franchise and am really happy to see ppl showing their love for it ❤
Burnout 3 was where my love for the series started, I remember getting Paradise on the 360 at launch and not playing it for absolutely years though - finally gave it a proper go and regretted leaving it so long! That's the thing, spreading that progress over different systems and games will definitely slow things down, plus most people playing purely for fun won't quite hit the same types of progress an achievement/trophy hunter might! For sure, if another Burnout ever releases expect another video! Haha. Thanks for the lovely comment. :)
It takes some SERIOUS time and dedication to get all the achievements in this game, both the original and the remaster. I absolutely love this game to death and I've never gotten 100 percent on either version! I've been playing burnout games since the original burnout on OG Xbox as a kid, it sucks there aren't games like them really made anymore 😢
Thank you very much! It's a fantastic game but I do think it drags on slightly too long, it's quite a long grind! I'm still crossing my fingers for a new Burnout game one day.
Funny how back in 2019 the servers for the 360 & PS3 were going to be shutdown in that fall. I joined TA and used the sessions to get the MP achievements done. Which led me to boosting more games on my gamertag. Congrats on the completion!
Yeah I'll always regret not finishing up the MP on the 360 version because it was genuinely good fun on the One! TA is a fantastic site though, I've met some great people boosting on there. :) Thank you!
I do really like this game but I highly advise to not use the DLC cars if the person doesnt know what they are doing. They are quite overkill but the issue is that you dont get the sense of the races going progressively faster as you get to know around Paradise City, especially the Carson GT Nighthawk is already one of the fastest cars in the game and there is another that can change modes on the fly. You will miss the roads a lot with them and the game will feel extra repetitive because, as I mention, the races dont get progressively faster. With the online modes I totaly get it to use these cars however. I am not saying that people should play "on hard" because the game is still easy if you dont use the DLC cars, but I think it is more enjoyable to play when the game gives the opportunity to learn the routes correctly instead of missing roads all the time because you relied on the fastest car possible.
Yeah when I played it on the 360 I had to unlock everything from scratched, I was very surprised to see you're given everything right away on the Remaster!
@@EffigyXBL It is not given away though, only the DLC cars are from the start, which are enough to break the game balance. The original release had a fast pass option to purchase which did unlock everything. Thankfully even though the remaster has all DLC it doesnt bundle the fast pass, so the Paradise and Big Surf cars and the Bikes have to be unlocked as they should. What I advise is to play the game only with the cars intended to be played and avoid the Toys, the Cops and Robbers and especially the Legendary Cars.
I got the collectables and road rules first. Showtime was literally putting me to sleep. Then i used the carbon cars to carry me through the game. The Carbon Hawker is fairly good on marked man events, given you start with boost and never stop. The Carbon Isuka GT is perfect for road rages. The car is much faster but the game just thinks you're in the Isuka. Ironically i found stunt runs super easy with the Extreme Hot Rod. Its flat spin ability is insane and It can land 6 barrel rolls
That's a real shame honestly, it's near dead on the One too at this point sadly. I think game pass is the only thing keeping it alive. A great game but I think we need a new one already!
I wanted to complete the game like this too, but I had this weird glitch 70% of thr way through, where all my gates and billboards reset to their unbroken look, so I had no idea how to look for undiscovered ones without a guide
Ah that sucks, I've never heard of that happening. If you smash them again do they remain smashed or do they always "rebuild" themselves? I got all of mine naturally, but if I had that glitch I can imagine it'd be an absolute nightmare!
Im playing through this again myself as i was very close to getting the platinum on ps3 but i didn't want to buy a webcam for 2 trophies 😅 so I wanted to actually do it properly on the remaster 🙏🏻 im about 53% in so far
As a person that loves this game i had gotten all of it execpt the online stuff ps plus and i felt pain when i found a parking lot where i found the last of the gates and board
That feeling of just cruising around and stumbling upon your last collectible is just beautiful. If you can find a few good people to work with, the online challenges can actually be quite fun!
Plus I always take the biggest risks ever always speed boost everywhere try longer routes and just do me and what I like to do or what I think is fun all I need to do is just do the show times
