I've been through 2 back surgeries and battled cancer so my labor is limited. I will not give in to them disabilities with my determination and God's will we will build our home. A home no one can take away from you means you never have to sleep in the cold. Invest in those things and your self reliance while you're young We never know when the world we live in is gonna turn for the worse. Self reliance is the only true freedom we have. Well done sir. Man it's a serious dream of mine to build a cabin in the mountains here in Arkansas. I'd be doing a mostly solo build, so it'd be nothing this beautiful or detailed. But man, wow what a freaking beautiful build!
That's funny,, I rent camps in the summer,, some of my renters have called me in the winter,,( Maine )& asked me to send them cedar limbs,, fir tips,, pine bark,, & sawdust & shavings!! aloha
This build makes me feel warm and fuzzy, I dream of my own cabin build. It's easy to think building one is easy when you watched months of work in one short video though! Nice landscape as well!

Who does the video editing? From the beginning of the channel and getting much better over time: the alternation of high/low shots, the inside/outside, slow/fast takes, construction/nature scenes. It transforms the video into a very cohesive and immersive experience. The flow is organic, soothing and dynamic at the same time. And the music selection! Was it your sister making the videos? Kudos to her, or whomever is involved!
Looks amazing and would love to be involved in a project like this. But the joints just seem like extra work to me. And maintenance over time. Fantastic work though!!
That is one damn nice house you your wife and your helpers built. Did you use a chainsaw mill to mail your own lumber? With the size of those timbers your children should be raising their children in that house also. Stay safe and God bless you 🇨🇦

I really enjoyed watching this video and the construction techniques you used. I did something similar about 6-8 years ago using my sawmill and trees I harvested from the place but the cabin I built used more conventional wood frame building techniques. I thought that cabin would be my last "treehouse" project but this video has inspired me to build another one using the techniques you documented in this video. If imitation is the highest form of flattery, considered yourself flattered. New sub.

Having been here for such a long time, life is as mundane here as it was for me in the country I was born in, but that by no means is a reflection on how wonderful (or not) this country is. For me the biggest step was just starting to mill, once I started I quickly began to enjoy the process.
