Wondering if you watch Nick Morris on UA-cam? He has done some comparisons on kitchen and bathroom. Very interesting. My ex hubby is changing his carpet this year, we put it down in 1988, it was an expense we couldn't really afford, but it was a great investment! It may be a good idea to go to evening classes to learn some building skills, it will be cost effective.Good luck🍀
Never seen him. But a lot of these shops have the same suppliers, with a little detective work you can find some good deals on the same products. Everyone love fresh new carpet so I’m sure it’s worth every penny 🙏🏻
@@scottxgibson Just what they charge. Stripped a 3 bed flat last year down to the brickwork, did include a small brick wall so one skip full of bricks. Took 3 skips at £300 each. Often see other refubs needing 2, 3 or more skips.
@@sirrodneyffing1 I guess it does depends on what’s going in the skips too. In the past I’ve neatly folded carpet and stacked laid the kitchen bits all flat to try and make the most of the space. Made the job take ages. But looked neat 😅

Off the top of my head I think it was between £19.5k-£20k. Maybe slightly less as I got a refund on some excess materials.
