~The Brave Princess and the Dragon~
In a kingdom of castles, where the sun brightly shone,
Lived a princess named Lily, with a heart all her own.
She was kind and so brave, with courage so true,
But there was one challenge no one could undo.
For high in the mountains, where the clouds touched the sky,
Lived a fearsome dragon, with wings that could fly.
His scales gleamed like fire, his roar shook the ground,
And the people of the kingdom feared the dragon unbound.
But Princess Lily, with a heart full of grace,
Decided to visit that dark, distant place.
"I won’t be afraid, I won’t turn away,
For kindness and bravery will guide my way."
She rode on her horse, with the wind in her hair,
Up to the mountain, with courage to spare.
At the top, she saw him-his eyes glowing bright,
A dragon so fierce, yet alone in his plight.
"Who dares approach me?" the dragon did roar,
His wings stretched wide, shaking the floor.
But Lily stood firm, with a smile on her face,
"I’ve come not to fight, but to offer you grace."
The dragon paused, his fiery eyes wide,
No one had ever spoken to him with such pride.
"Why would you come, when all others flee?
I’m a creature of terror-why would you see me?"
Princess Lily stepped forward, her voice calm and clear,
"I see not a monster, but a creature to hear.
You’ve been misunderstood, alone in your pain,
But kindness can heal, and bring peace to the rain."
The dragon blinked, as her words touched his heart,
For he had been lonely, torn apart.
"I’ve only been fierce to keep others away,
But I long for a friend, each and every day."
Lily reached out her hand, gentle and warm,
And the dragon leaned closer, no longer to harm.
They sat side by side, in the soft evening light,
And together they talked, deep into the night.
From that day on, the kingdom did see,
That a dragon and princess could live in harmony.
For bravery and kindness, when shared hand in hand,
Could turn enemies into friends, as they both took a stand.
And so, Princess Lily, with courage and grace,
Showed the world that kindness could change any face.
For the bravest of hearts are those that can see,
That the greatest power is love, wild and free.
