Jason, you have no idea how much this up beat and exciting video did for me. At 67 and a rather extreme health history include ptsd depression. I’ve gotten where I don’t want to do anything. But I’m thinking I’m gonna get busy and try to get some things done. Your pure joy in finding a new rose is so uplifting for me. I’m going through trauma therapy. But this video just lifted my spirits. Thank you so much. You and Brooke are just amazing.

It's cold here in Dothan,Alabama, this morning. I think it was 54 earlier, but it made it to 60 now at 11:a.m. I have got to go and get a cutting from a pink rose on the side of the road near my home. I never saw it before the other day. It sorta looks like the pink rose on your trellis Jason.
I couldn't help but read some of the comments after watching the video. Many of us come to this channel for different reason,but the one thing I noticed is the joy expressed after watching. I'm right there with you. In the moments of watching all is right in the world. The way it should be....where everyone... human and animal are loved and respected! I never miss a video!❤❤❤❤
It is very obvious that all the animals love you deeply, especially Topper. He closed his eyes & leaned into your neck & you could see his love & happiness!
Yes... it is so heart warning to see the Respect & Love their Animals have for them... it's because they treat them with Kindness, Patience & Respect.

By the side of the road….mmmm…at first thought an abandoned animal. BUT, knowing this amazing gardener/farmer, a rose 🌹 is one of the few things that could make Jason this excited. Adorable. It’s the excitement of innocence! Pure joy! I adored this video!
Wow! What an Awesome Find! Love that that gorgeous rose has been left undisturbed to grow and flourish for someone like You Jason who will plant, preserve it's history & cherish it's Beauty for many years to come. You would never find anything like that growing alongside the road here in Arizona. Too much progress going on daily here... no one would appreciate it, they'd just rip it out of the ground and make a sidewalk overtop of where it was... concrete city!
I just Love the Midwest and the culture that still exists. Man, that rose was from the 1900's... Very Cool.
Ever heard the Nat King Cole song "Ramblin Rose"? It was popular in the mid to late 60's. My Dad loved Nat King Coles velvet voice.
His biggest hits were "Unforgettable" & "Mona Lisa".

Jason, you can definitely tell that the animals love you. They are all up in your business. Mildred, Jessie, Honey, and all the goats love you. Even Nugget loves you but he is on an important job assignment. It’s all about the eggs!

The roses are beautiful. I am glad you dug them up before the county cut them down or sprayed them to kill them.
Gotta' say, there are roadside gems hidden in plain sight, up here in Maine. I used to keep clippers and a shovel in my vehicle just for such adventures. Good on you, Jason. If I wasn't sure the gem was on public land, i would ask the owner if I could get a little bit of whatever it was. Never was I told no. And always returned with a perennial I'd grown for my business. We gardeners are a special kind of crazy ❤❤❤
I used to carry a shovel, pot etc. when driving for "just in case". I worked for a doctor (won't say what kind or who) that was very into plants, all kinds, but mostly tropical. He said something one day that tickled me, and I will never forget......"Plant people steal".

My grandma grew most of her roses by taking a piece of a rose and putting it under a large mason jar and keep it under there until it was established. She grew all kinds of roses this way.😊❤️🌹
My grandma fid the same with the rose cutting in the ground or pot and a mason jar over it. I shhpuldv try it again too. Great memories.
Every time someone says rambling rose, I think of my sweet Mom. Ramblin' Rose was one of her favorite songs. Those roses are lovely.

Jason, my Granddad was a Master gardener and he ran a rose club in the 60’s and 70’s when he took a rose start he would take a few Potatoes to the rose garden and poke a little hole into the potato and put the rose cuttings in the potatoes! He SWORE by the method,Maybe you could try one or two?
That has to be a hearty rose for it to survive and come up on the side of the road all it's own. It's so beautiful. I can't wait to see where you plant them and watch them grow.

The rose on the side of the road is absolutely gorgeous. The roses at Petals from the Past, as well as all of the plants, and trees are also gorgeous. I love when you walk around and show the different things growing there. Being a southerner myself, I can appreciate seeing a lot of the things you share on your videos.

Beautiful rose. My grandmother was always one to stop on the sides of country roads and dig up flowers, vines etc. she always had buckets and shovels in her trunk. Her yard was always gorgeous and in bloom no matter the season.

Jason that’s the wild rose I’ve got and I’m telling you the buds are yellow and flowers are white and you can’t kill it! You can replant and replant and trellis that baby wild rose! The actual root is large! Rosa Carolina, Rosa Palutris (swamp rose), this is the name of the white one you just got and the pink one, they have 5 pedals!
I was thinking the same thing. I live in New Jersey and we have some of the pink ones and some of the white ones. They are beautiful and you're right you can't kill them.

Grandma. Called that getting a “pinch” of something but she had a habit of getting a pinch. Wherever she pleased. We couldn’t get it through her head to ask permission. She would always say I just got a “PINCH”. Lmbo.
She even divided a plant in the landscape of McDonald’s. I almost died. Insisted on having a shovel n bucket in car all spring n summer.
