thx Sandy , I am cool lol , and I knew Jessica very well, was tired of seeing her struggling and at the time this seem a solution, never though she would love it so much.
Justin, you will never know how much your videos brighten my day man. Three years ago I cut every unnecessary cost from my life so I could get out of debt and it was gone in 1.5 years. One year ago I started saving so I could hopefully live the life you example on your channel. I don't comment often on UA-cam but I want you to know, there are folks like me who greatly appreciate you letting the rest of us get a glimpse of your life and how things could be! KORITFW sir!
Jessica, you are a beautiful, bright, LOVELY, deLIGHTful, adorable young lady. I am SO SO HAPPY that you, too, have found something you are LOVING for your home and the adventure of life!!! I love that your mom encouraged you toward something that now fits you so perfectly....but I, personally, as a mom of 3 amazing young adult children, fell IN LOVE with your personality and I would have had a VERY TOUGH TIME giving you up!!! :D And Justin, GREAT interview....your sense of humor is awesome! I LOVED the "living in a van down by the river " quote!!! We use that one often. We still miss him! I admire this new movement and my hubby and I are nearing retirement and I have thought long and hard about how awesome it would be to either get a tiny house on some land and/or something like yours so we can do a bit more traveling. (As for living full time, my two main roadblocks I see is I have my own art business and all my favorite projects require a good deal of space and materials and equipment, although most are not giant in size. My hubby also has a nice mancave as well as a workshop for his big and small woodworking projects. We also love having our children and grandchildren over often. My other love is having tea parties and entertaining with our granchildren and friends/family and if we lived somewhere temperate, I could envision outdoor garden teas and dinner parties...but we don't and I cannot bear leaving our 5 grandbabies behind to permanantly move. Anyway...blah blah blah. ;) Thanks for sharing!!! I enjoyed it all!
OMG! She's the cutest bicycle mechanic I've ever seen. She can service my bottom bracket anytime! Seriously. Hang on to this one Justin. She's a keeper.
Awesome! I'm falling in love with this lifestyle. All the mobile dwellers I've viewed thus far exude genuine happiness. I want to jump into this community head first!
Awesome video nice motor home I didn't know it was that expensive to live in Canada she's a brave and a beautiful girl Goodluck on your adventures and be careful.
You have inspired me to buy a Class B. I'm picking it up on the 14th and start my adventure. This girl appears to be very happy in this life style given initial concerns. She's inspiring.
Vanners are such great folks. And just seems we will never be understood. Live free, be proud of who you are. And never look back. God's speed fellow vanners.
She's adorable don't let her get away Justin.I know she likes you cause she laughed at everything you said.If I was only twenty years younger I'd be all over that.
This was such a fun, informative, beautiful video. I loved her. She's so cool. A nomadic bike mechanic. She can move and find work anywhere. I'm a bike messenger in NYC. I want to get a class b. All over NYC there are people living in their vans and RVs, same with Philadelphia. That fireplace is so beautiful.
Shes so right, when u got an apartment or a house u tend to get stuck inside of it. Now i live in my Travel trailer full time i'm outside a lot more, and enjoy life a million times more. Thank you for a great video.
I've been following a few people who are living out of RV's, Vans, 5th wheels, Class A's. Each to his own and boy don't they all have strong feelings about their choices. At first, I thought that I might be interested in living in a 40 ft 5th wheel, year round at a nice resort in the U.S. I found one that charges $350 - $500 a month - which is not to bad. But then, I began watching people who are living out of truck campers, vans, very small 20' to 24' RV's. Wishful thinking - being a disabled person in chronic pain, I thought that I might be able to find a nice Class C or B+ that I could live out of but still travel around the states and Canada, Alaska - pain permitting - can't sit for very long. I went to a RV center and saw a nice B+ but then took a peek at the C's... I fell in love with the 32' C. For a couple of reasons - more space and when I need to stop for a week or two, I would be cozy and feel at home. Who knows... it is all a dream right now.
Anything over 21' would not work for a person like Jessica, or myself, as we live city lifestyles. This channel is about urban living and working like everyone else, except without rent, mortgages or landlords. Have to fit in standard parking spaces and be driven daily. That being said, you'll find thousands of happy couples in much smaller vans than this!
I understand. You are young and on the move. That makes sense. I am in my 50's and disabled so I'm hoping that I won't end up homeless... thus, I've found people my age and older who are on social security and they are living in a "tribe" perse'. They help each other and some of them are on extreemly limited budgets. Some of them "work camp". Meaning, they travel to different areas of the country and find temporary work.. for instance the beet harvest and winter in Quartzsite, AZ. I appreciate your feedback.. I just stumbled upon your site and took in some great information - size matters. Thanks a bunch!
I am in Spokane, Wasington andI have been researching vandwelling for the past 5 years, I can't start doing it for another couple of years. But its definitely something I want to do. My ex boyfriend showed me your channel, and a couple of others, and I fell in love with the lifestyle. 😊
Maybe! I plan on trekking across North America, got famil along the West Coast and down in Mexico. I plan on visiting Canada too. The next two years will be very long! Lol.
This was a Great video and really awesome that 2 van dwellers made a connection! If she gets you rocking Vancouver in a smokin bad azz bike even better!
So appreciate Jessica's disposition, outlook, and willingness to share part of her life journey and joy-beam with us! (the instagram link didn't seem to be working. Would love to follow there. Gotta love the name of her adventure-share, "for the love of life"! )
Another great interview Justin. (you are really at it). Jessica is a lovely person (inside and out). I have to laugh that her Mom turned her onto your channel. I've shared it with my daughter (who is probably close to the same age). I am hoping when I start living in my van, it will inspire her. I love the Pleasure Ways... Mine isn't quite so nice but I plan to paint the darker wood to lighten it up and add lot's of personal touches. Sharing this right now... ;-)
OOOOH DAANG, that Pleasure Way's set up nice. I was wondering about that furnace when you'd first entered and though, "huh, this looks familiar?" How awesome that Jessica's mom was inspired by your channel?
Another great thing about living in motorhome is it requires less commuting. I used to have to drive 5 miles back and forth every day. Now I only drive a half mile and I'm there. I'm staying in an area where houses are a million dollars plus. Apt $1500. Me free.
Very cool! Mom knows best. My mom got me into the Van life 4 years ago and she has been a Vandweller for well over a decade. She actually started the Vandwellers Facebook page a number of years ago. Unfortunately the guy that took it over for my mom passed away awhile back so I have inherited some of the responsibility as a moderator for that group. I love her van just like Dora almost. I like the meet up interviews you have been doing. Sensing a little romance in the Van life world I'm digging it. Just don't run off together never to be seen again like Happily Houseless! koritfw
Back in the 1940s UCONN had RV parking for students. My friend's 90 year old mom told me that's how her and her husband lived and had 3 kids while doing it.
I.. I have to see it again. I follow you RV, and you are going places where I never will come when the disease and money puts a stop to it, many thousands of thank you for the lovely places, let us share the whole world a place and to those who will never come
With Van dwelling becoming so popular around the world, its only a matter of time before Governments want a piece of it and impose huge taxes on liveable vehicles, or Travelling homes, or house on wheels etc, whatever description they wanna come up with. Theres always an authority somewhere chasing peoples way of life to make money from them. Unfortunately Van Dwellers will probably be next, but if became a legitimate cultural existence, then any regulation put on it might be considered an abuse of human rights or racism. But the Van Dwelling community should act fast and start describing themselves as a cultural community etc. A legitimate way of life that's free from the establishment. Just my thoughts.
great video Justin, Jessica is a very beautiful young lady, and she seem very happy , I am glad for her . and you helping her out a lot buy making her feel at home . take care , ( keep your wheels rolling )
poutine it's been a long time since I have that. I had a woman in Quebec offer me that one day. I was very confused for a minute or two but happy. and then she told me what it was and yes it was pretty good.
Omigosh, I love Jessica and I love her rig! Thanks for sharing! The more I see these Class Bs the more I like 'em. I've been thinking customizing a cargo van would be sweet - and it would! - but why not just get a van with all that stuff already built in, lol. Anyway, awesome video, I am super excited about getting on the road some day and meeting all you cool peeps! :-)
What a lovely happy young woman. Her van is very nice too. Her mum sounds cool.
thx Sandy , I am cool lol , and I knew Jessica very well, was tired of seeing her struggling and at the time this seem a solution, never though she would love it so much.

She is so bubbly and buoyant and has such a lovely accent and such a cute living space.
I love seeing brave girls on their own without having a guy in their life. Very inspiring. You go girl.
Jessica's smile and laugh is awesome. Instantly liked her. Thanks for sharing.
That was a great interview... Jessica is adorable! I love her smile! Happy Trails.

I think Jessica's mum is going to wish she hadn't...!!!! Lol seriously, you guys rock! Inspiring. All the Best Jess!!!
Nice van setup but wow what a happy, energetic buetiful woman. Need some more videos with her positive energy.
OMG! She's the cutest bicycle mechanic I've ever seen. She can service my bottom bracket anytime! Seriously. Hang on to this one Justin. She's a keeper.

This was a Great video and really awesome that 2 van dwellers made a connection! If she gets you rocking Vancouver in a smokin bad azz bike even better!
Nice Work. Proves not everyone who lives in a van is a bum, helps change people's perspective on van life for the good.
