For those who are not aware, if the truck is an early year model 2011 or earlier with the orange gauge cluster the reset is done via ODO mode. If the truck is a late 2011 model year or later with the white gauge cluster then you'll reset from the Trip A mode.
One thing to add (about the tire pressure sensor) is to check the spare as well. If the spare has a sensor and the pressure is low, the indicator light will appear.
Thanks for the vid. At the end of your video, You mention "Tire Pressure Monitor light" Its not always the case you have a bad sensor. This is very well documented in your Toyota manual. Almost "all" Tacoma's come with a TPMS even some of the Base models. It all depends on the model and versions you own. The High end versions allow you to see each tire pressure from the Radio Head unit in one of the menus. My model does not have this option just a Dash light. Its true it comes on if your tire pressure is over or under the set value. This can also happen after a rotation of the tires, Airing down, Airing up, or just a small pressure adjustment at the local Gas Station Air pump. "I only use one pressure gauge to check my tire pressure all the time, a Personal Gauge" Every Tacoma Has a reset button below the steering wheel on the dash by the Hood release. It shows the "Tire Pressure warning" icon with the words "SET". You start off by checking your tire pressures, If they have not moved or their set your PSI. "Edit"You turn the ignition to "ON" but do not start the vehicle "This does not work when the engine is running" and press the set button and hold until the Dash Light "Tire warning" blinks Three times. "Again, Read the manual" The light will go out and the system is now set new tire pressure value. Again read the manual. If the Dash board light is Blinking. This mean their is a problem with the system. Ether the Module on the Vehicle is bad or a TPMS sensor on the Tire rim has gone bad. I.e. Bad battery's. and its signal has dropped out from the system. Again, Their are a few versions out their. Some only have 4 channels or some have 5 channels "Spare tire" Their is really no set value other then the one set by the owner. If your a 4wheeler and need to air down the tires for the trail conditions. This is the same procedure. You just setting a know PSI value to monitor. When you air back up for Road "Highway/street" travel. You do the same thing. I'm not sure on the tolerance of the monitor but I'm sure it allows a few PSI swing for driving and Temperature. It is noted again "Read the manual" Set Cold Tire Pressure. This does not mean cold weather. Just a resting state, Not to be set after a long drive or if the Tire walls are hot from air down 4wheeling FYI, Toyota does not always put a TPMS in the spare tire. In most cases their is no unit. Other versions and Toyota packages that came from the Factory or Dealer do offer a TPMS in the spare. Hope this helps, Enjoy! :)
Thanks man. Simple and fast. Not a bunch of talking. Thanks again. PS I have a x runner so it was a trip to see the gears on the right side of the gauges:)
After multiple times following this procedure on my 2012 Tacoma and with a sore thumb, I mistakenly had the odometer on Trip 1 or Trip A and it worked finally. Your title “Reset Oil Maintenance Light - 2006 to 2013 Toyota Tacoma should not include all 7 of those years.
I just tried this on my son's 2011 Tacoma, and it didn't work until I switched it to the Trip A odometer setting. It wouldn't work at all when it was showing the total miles. Our 2014 Lexus also only works on the Trip A setting, which is why I even thought about trying it.
On trip B worked for my 06 Tacoma. Just once the odometer presents the dashes- - - - -, let them count them selfs down then release button and turn key off.

I've added a notation, it seems where the car was manufactured affects this maintenance setting.

Sweet. Thanks!
Very helpful, thanks!
I watch this video once every 5k miles
Works like a charm on a FJ!
I have saved thousands of dollars by just turning the light off instead of doing the maintenance.
Haha, I hope you're just joking.
Thank you soo much that was so helpful!
Also with the air pressure mine went off but it was actually for the spare. I have an 06 4x4 tacoma

On trip B worked for my 06 Tacoma. Just once the odometer presents the dashes- - - - -, let them count them selfs down then release button and turn key off.
Thank you !
Done in 50 seconds!! Toyota Tacoma 2011.
Heck yea bro thanks a lot !
Np Bro!
How do you change it from factory 5,000 to 3,000 miles, is there a way to do that?
For a 2011 Tacoma it should be on Trip A for it to work.
I've added a notation, it seems where the car was manufactured affects this maintenance setting.
Thanks bro that all u need to say no jingling and jangling
video helped !
Thank you.
Keep in mind the air sensor also reads your spare tire.
Thank u so much!!!
Also check air in spare tire as well as this is often overlooked

Can u show me the step to do this? Thank you. Please write the steps out for me! Thank you! Also, please write it short and easy to understand!
Check your spare tire for air ,if your spare is low that sensor will pop up . I have a 2006 tacoma and I’ve never had to change my tire sensors.
How many miles does it take before it comes back on again?
Thanks ma dude
2011 needs trip A too.
that light is for the tires including the spare tire
👍
Warning. You have to be on a trip. It will not work if you’re on odometer for some models. My 2012 will NOT reset if I show odometer.
2012 tacoma needs to be at Trip A for this to work
