Great interview! Just a friendly reminder to Ari, one of the main reason why people come on the Fix is because they feel comfortable despite their background. It was hard watching you try and correct Cuz. In my opinion, you could have changed the way you were asking Cuz questions because it was evident he wasn’t understanding the way you were asking the questions.

I didn't like how Ari spoke to Cuz. she realized that he was not understanding the terns that was being used and still went on to use them and even insulted him saying that she wants the weed he's smoking. As an interviewer you have to know how to converse with people.

Ari said she was not condescending, but she contradicted herself. During this interview, she was the epitome of condescending. Cuz did not understand the terminologies she was using. Layman’s terms should have been used.

I thought it was me alone. Clearly, he doesn't understand specific terminologies as you stated, why keep correcting him every second. Why not just talk about this artistry and creativity? Do you know how impactful the interview would have been if he was being celebrated for his art and how that could boost his self-esteem? It's not easy to keep positive and stay away from crime in garrison communities and he has found a way to do so while empowering others around him. The reality is though, she can't relate and maybe her mindset came from how she was raised and the environments she has become accustomed to.
I agree she tends to purposely use extraordinary terminology when dealing with certain guest as if she’s trying to prove a point. It’s giving very snobby and proving that uptown stereotype well

Vegetarian and vegan diets contain protein. Lentils, Edamame, beans etc are all examples of high protein items. You just have to eat more to make up for the lack of meat in your diet. Ari, knowing how to structure a sentence doesn’t mean that you are knowledgeable on all topics.

I haven’t even finished the interview and already I don’t see where was this behavior coming from or needed. You would think being professional media personalities they would act as such instead they were belittling them simply because of how they speak. But you can simply break it down to layman terms and they’ll articulate and express. I wouldn’t be surprised if they become arrogant and say nothing was wrong in the interview.
