Hi vitoman, I just discovered your channel. You're a very generous soul, sharing all you knowledge with us, and I'm learning a ton from you. Thank you, and best of luck to you.
Kevin, there’s a ton of stuff I love about your informative videos, but what’s really cool is that you show us the tool or product used and where you purchased it from to preform these works of art. Thanks man
Looking good ! I have found that painting the berm/ cork strip prior to install is easier. Also, may try doing a flat finish spray primer coat first. I used that on the Aurora Speed Corners with success. Just taped over the yellow plastic and sprayed flat black on them. Looking forward to seeing how the MDF strip bends for the turn wall. Keep up the good work !
Nice going Kevin, it's a lot of work and looks like it's going pretty good man. I tried to tape my rumble strips but, I didn't like the outcome!! Then I painted still really didn't care but they were better than tape. Finally I sanded ( lightly) and finished off with some spray bombing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 they sucked up paint but nice outcome. We are in the middle of moving so,, I'm down right now ☹️ but I will make a bigger layout once I'm settled in.
Could we see a video of cars racing on the layout? I like the idea of all 18/15 turns for Tjets but have never seen a track like that until yours. Very interested in how you like it
You might want to cut kerfs into the inside of your curved pit wall before you steam it. I expect that there are some videos available on that process. Looking forward to seeing your results.
Tab Maryland I steamed two so far . One turned out ( excuse my pun) lol and the second one split after it dried. Trying another one with alot longer steaming or just soak them in water. Next video. Thanks for the heads up and thanks for watching.
Cool. Good tips and advise. I'm building my own track and people don't know or realise how much work and thought (and money) is actually going in to a project like this. But we do, don't we?
If you go to Hobby Lobby or another hobby store you can find thinner strips of basswood to make your curved walls instead of that 3/8" thick piece. Might look more to scale as well.
Got divorced and had to move into a smaller home. Had to tear down the track, because no where to put it. Hoping in the future I can get back to my videos, got a ton more stuff to put up.
Don Vitoman, "Paint it with THIS or sleep with the FISH". 😁
Pretty cool,,, subscribed.

Apple barrel paint is good for your lexan bodies so you might be able to use it up. I've used it on 1/24 scale bodies.
Cool.

Thanks PickleMan it check that out.
Where are you finding buildings for your layout? I can only find the cardboard crap and would really like some of the nice plastic ones.
Bad LS hobby in Cleveland Ohio, my local hobby shop "Andrews hardware" and some stuff I pickup up from garage sales.
@@vitoman50 Thanks,
I'll have a look
Kevin you might want to use vallejo wash to weather instead of india ink. It's a lot easier to work with. Plenty of videos on UA-cam.
uofmhockey thanks I'll try that.
The cool thing is that the wash comes in different colors. You can use multiple colors on the same area and it really comes out looking good.
uofmhockey looks like they have mud and a whole mess of different types of things that I could use.
Just curious, why have you stopped posting videos?
Got sick and was hospitalized for a while. I will be getting back soon . Thanks for the question and watching.
@@vitoman50
