I like how Paul and the band started Battle of Who Could Care Less going into the commercial and then Ben joined in. The folks in the studio were treated to that over the commercial break - I wish we could hear it! It is cool to see Ben and Paul nod at each other - they had just had some fun! Awesome musicians...
xLnHxBlo0dLusT I know. I meant Paul Shafer, leader of the Late Night band. I should have said "Paul Shafer and BFF started Battle...". Paul Shafer is the bald guy that Ben looks at after they come out of the commercial.
I was in the audience for that show - one of the absolute coolest live performances I’ve ever seen. When he looks over at Paul during the line “see if Paul can score some weed” was sheer magic.
Wow.. this was taped the day before Chris Farley died. The irony is that I remember hearing the announcement of his death on WRZX 103.3 Indianapolis and they played Brick immediately afterward. I'll never forget where I was at that moment, it's a memory that will forever be with me.
Wow. I can't believe after over a decade of listening to these guys I just now saw this clip. That sounds like a pretty emotional bit. Never forget him 🙏
This is the day that I became a Ben Folds fan. I remember watching this with my dad who's no longer with us. The song reminds me of my dad and I've been Ben Folds fan ever since.
i just want to say me n my big bro recorded this live... same video when i was 11 he was 14 n he showed me rock n roll....from this day forward i got into heavy metal bands n a lot of cool shit but ill never forget this n 3rd eye blind, eve 6,everclear, n goo goo dolls!!!!!
I love this song. I believe it's a true story about Ben's girlfriend receiving an abortion. I'm totally opposed to abortion personally. However, I can only imagine how scared the woman is that is to receive one. I feel horrible for anyone that has to go through this. When this song was recorded, I was just a 20 year old kid.
Patrick Kuiper What makes you think anyone cares about your stance on abortion? ‘Brick’ was written about a very personal experience that Ben Folds lived through. What you are doing is precisely the reason that he didn’t make the story public for such a long time.

There is no one named Paul in BFF.

Jesse rocking the double.
Ben Folds slated this performance in his autobiography. I thought it was beautiful.
Why what did he say about it?
Ben at his cutest!

Plenty of reason why you don't have to get a love life haha, you can't trust anyone and they break easy

Great song. What was Ben's singled albums after Ben Folds Five? I was into Ben's single stuff and just remembering now. He had some really good work.
