Thank you for this video. You seem to be the only one defending the left that I love, and distancing our ideology of inclusivity from woke activism.
While I very much admire your intellect and knowledge, not all your viewers or readers can match it and I struggled through this interview, even though I learned quite a lot and googled Foucault.😂
This is too heavy to go viral though, and it's a shame cos your message needs to be heard by everyone, not just the intellectual elite.
I would love for you to pair up with some youtuber who can "translate" your speech into everyday speech for the less educated, so it can reach "the masses", of which I'm a part of. 😅

Woke came into more common use in 2014 when Furguson was happening. That is when I first noticed it.

Paul Simon says he paid the So African musicians >>> union scale. He also got them exposure. Ladysmith Black Mambazo has been touring ever since. He did a speaking tour around the release of "Graceland", in which he addressed these issues. One example he gave was, "should Ray Charles have not played the piano, a European instrument with a huge European repertoire?"

It may be too late for my comment, but I only found this today.
The part on the term "cultural appropriation" the speakets missed the meaning of the term entirely.
The term applies to the taking over of a culture, making million$$$ on it, while the people who ARE the culture, make no money, continue to be oppressed, and suffer in poverty. It's like treating a person's real life as if it's a toy to be played with, then put away when the player is tired of it. Cultural Appropriation refers to ECONOMICS, not people's feelings about using other people's stuff. You want to be Black for example, when it's fun, or dancing, or partying, but not when police brutality affects those same people you so enjoy playing with. It's about hypocrisy.
