All of these were absolutely heartbreaking, but I think the one that effected the EastEnder’s community most was Peggy Mitchell. She’s been in EastEnders for years, so many people know her and her famous catchphrase “get out of my pub!!”. Rest in peace to all these wonderful characters, and thankyou to all the wonderful actors and actresses that brought the characters to life. Gone, but have left a massive impact on the series. They’ll all be missed.

Watching shakil die was one of the toughest things I've watched in a while. With knife crime here in Britain sadly rising this storyline felt extra real......plus I'm the same age as kush and have a brother the same age as shakil so I really felt the devastation.
It was to make a point surrounding knife crime- the writers of the show probably thought that if they killed off one of the main younger characters it would give more of an impact to younger audiences as they might have connected with Shakil, potentially making the viewer think twice about engaging with knife crime.
