      I've been searching for a couple of parts I wanted for the chair before doing the 1 year and have had a lot less time to film with having less time to film due COVID. Should be coming soon, but it's been a struggle to get stuff filmed and edited with the way my schedule looks/is with COVID changes.

    I purchased mine off of Amazon.ca and put it together yesterday. It has terrible off gassing this smell is unbelievable. The craftsmanship with the sewing and details was very crooked at the back of the chair where it covers the metal plate. So many positive and negatives about this gaming chair. It’s super comfortable and gives me a super headache at the same time. I will be doing a review video to I greatly appreciated your honest feedback!

      One thing I would suggest if yours has an over powering smell is to get some leather cleaner/conditioner and clean it a few times (not back to back). I used an automotive leather cleaner then followed up with a conditioner. It will help the material last and give it a more pleasant (although still a bit chemically) than it may have had before. I used these one's from chemical guys amzn.to/2OwVMDe.

    the problem with these 'companies" is when they get too bad a rep they simply change their names. most of theses new companies are "fly-by-name.". They don't sell killabee anymore but you can find lots of clone designs that are simply killabee changing its name. but of even more inferior design. I got a few years out of my old big and tall killabee but now the lock that keeps it from rocking when you play high implact games is broken. now it rocks even when you don't want it too. Also I had to replace the gas cylinder a couple years ago as it wasn't holding my wieght-which was half the wieght limit. this thing was supposed to hold around 400 lbs I weighed at the time of the replacement 260. Also, the old cylinder would not go up unless you forced it up with your hands or the backs of you knees.

    I own this and I concur the leg rest indeed causes you to fall/lean forward. Also beware if you have thick thighs the bucket seat design will hurt. Yes, it squeaks a great deal from day 1 no matter what you do !

      I would save a bit more or spend a bit more if I were you. My next video is covering why you should avoid cheap gaming chairs and buy better chairs instead. I have heard a lot of good things about Secret Lab chairs, and I used to have a Herman Miller at work which I loved.
      IF you do buy a cheaper chair and amazon is offers a warranty on it. I would recommend it, the components they use are cheaper and mine broke outside of the manufacturers warranty, but my Amazon warranty covered it.

      Yeah that's a definite fail unfortunately. I'm replacing my 3 year old office chair and I'm going to be going for a gamers chair because gamers do more sitting than humans are designed to do. I was hoping this would be it because of the price. I think I'm just going to pay more and try finding one that doesn't do that. I appreciate your longer time review, it definitely saved me a headache. Strange thing is that my office chair was only about 50 bucks and it's still in good shape after several years and it never squeaked or had any hardware issues. The problem has been the lack of padding and my backside goes numb. It's been that way from the start and I'm finally tired of it. Thanks again

    Hello... I know Im a little late to the party here...😊 but Im working from home now and after doing this since March Im going to have to give in buy some better furniture. My current situation is killing my back and neck. I just don’t want to spend a lot of money. My question is...Im pretty tall I suppose, approx 5’10 but I have long legs...does the chair raise up pretty high? Do you think its comfy in that respect? I hope my question makes sense. Thanks and have a nice evening.

      I'm 6'2" and was more comfortable in this chair than I was in my old one. However I feel like in the price bracket there may be some better stuff available. I would suggest going to office depot, and checking out stuff in a similar price bracket. I can't think of the name, but I sat in one of the chairs in store that was a gaming style chair and for the 10 min I sat in it, it was more comfy than the Killabee.
      I've spent several long days in the Killabee and after a full day the materials in the seat pad do get to be a bit much.

    Is it possible to lock the tilt, so it doesn't move back and forward?

    • @TheRogueGentlemanGamer
      @TheRogueGentlemanGamer  4 роки тому +1

      yeah the tilt function does lock on it, but it isn't extremely tight so there is some play in the tilt still, not a lot to where it leans you back, but if you move around a lot you'll notice it shift with you a tiny bit.

    • @TheRogueGentlemanGamer
      @TheRogueGentlemanGamer  5 років тому

      I'm working on a follow-up review for 1 year as I've just passed that mark with this chair, and I would recommend sitting in a variety of chairs at your local office supply store, and see what fits you well. I spend 8-10 hours per day in this chair, but I take breaks at roughly hour intervals for a few minutes.
      I think for the money it isn't a bad chair, but if you're looking for a chair to help with pain and that has better ergonomics, you better off saving your money for a bit longer to get an ergonomically designed chair or even potentially consider one of the yoga ball chairs.

      It really only seems to make it when I shift my position and in person it doesn't seem as loud as it does through the mic. it's gotten even more quiet as time has gone on. It just seems the microphone picks up that sound really really well. I would definitely list it as one of the cons of this chair though.

  • @HeinzGuderian_
    @HeinzGuderian_ 4 роки тому

    Don't waste your $$. The seat cushion is as useless as all Chinese made junk. I am 5'11" and 230 lbs. The seat cushion crushes immediately and becomes very uncomfortable within an hour. Looks like I'll be shelling out the $1500 on a decent chair after all.
    The fact that it doesn't rock back is annoying but wasn't a deal killer. The seat cushion is.

    • @TheRogueGentlemanGamer
      @TheRogueGentlemanGamer  4 роки тому

      Honestly it sounds to me like you weren't in the market for a budget chair, and maybe this is a good video I can do down the road when I buy my next chair (about selecting and budgeting for the right chair for you). Because this chair isn't for everyone by any stretch of the imagination. This is a decent option for someone who wants something that looks decent, and is decently supportive, but also has a budget in mind. Is it the most comfortable chair I've sat in? No, not by a wide margin, but I didn't buy a sub $200 chair expecting it compete with a Herman Miller.
      Realistic expectations amigo. Just like almost anything that isn't a collectible, you are getting what you pay for.
      FYI: I'm about 260lbs and the chair is comfortable enough for a few hours of Xbox/PC Gaming, but as with most chairs I have 0 desire to sit in one for 8+hours.
      What did you by it doesn't rock back? The tilt function on the model I had allowed me to lay down in it basically.

    • @HeinzGuderian_
      @HeinzGuderian_ 4 роки тому

      @@TheRogueGentlemanGamer "sub $200 chair"? It's $260 and if I tell someone a chair can handle 400 pounds, the seat cushion should realistically be able to handle 400 pounds. It can't handle 200 pounds. My next chair will likely be a Herman-Miller Embody. I gave my wife a Herman Miller and she loves it.

    • @TheRogueGentlemanGamer
      @TheRogueGentlemanGamer  4 роки тому +1

      When I bought it it was $180 retail on Amazon and lists at $189 now. So yes definitely sub $200. It's a budget chair and not even a competitor to the herman miller embody which is $1495, which is almost 8x the price of the killabee. Yeah the killabee isn't perfect or even great but be realistic those chairs are as far apart in classification as a Lamborghini and a kia. I'm not saying your point about the seat cushion isn't a short coming merely making note that the killabee is a budget chair.

      @TheRogueGentlemanGamer  4 роки тому

      @@HatnSneakerz I've found a few stores local to me that have some chairs, but one had them just hung up from the ceiling so you could see them (helpful right?) and the other allowed you to sit in a few, but didn't have any major 'name brand' gaming chairs. It's been really annoying trying to find one, which is why I would actually eventually like to be able to review more chairs (when budget allows). Office depot had a cheapy brand there, but it honestly felt like it might be better than the Killabee (which if you search aliexpress) you can find unbranded ones being sold there, and some other chairs with the same design and component appearance being sold on Amazon in the same price bracket. I'm definitely considering the office depot one I looked at, it was soft didn't make noise and seemed supportive from the 5 min I spent in it.
