I don't think BJP want to attach science with vedic science .
But it's only remember of ancient india scientist like sushruta for medical and aryabhatt for concept of zero .
Just remember but modern science is very different. BJP it's self increase number of IIT , IIM , NIT ,AIMMIS .
Aslo new education policy 2020 that chairman was former ISRO chif . That fully operational from 2030 . It's BJP step.
So there is stereotype for BJP outside india . Because they not follow BJP government policy.
Yes there local leader like MLA and MP was like that but it's not mean the top leadership is not understand about science and tech .

Mr. Hoodbhoy is being narrow minded and petty talking about what IK was doing in U.K during his cricket playing career.

Dr. Hoodbhoy, not sure how an academician of your stature (who always stood for evidence-based conclusions) suddenly departs from it and speculates on politics not backed by an iota of evidence. What a pity if learned people like Dr. Hoodbhoy and Co. aligns with the imbeciles and start tooting their horn.
Please don't get me wrong here. My comments are specific to Dr. Hoodbhoys write-ups in daily Dawn where he sides with MNS/MSS/AAZ point of view and openly criticizes IK's policies with scant regard for logic and reason and totally divorced from evidence-based reporting. And I am posting them here since Dawn does not publish my comments. My apologies for using the wrong window to air my views.
Branding IK as a "cult" so I politely ask, where does Dr. Hoodbhoy place dynastic politics? Is that appropriate and conducive to the progress of Pakistan?
Criticizing one thing would not mean he's siding with the other, it is called creating a false dilemma. I'm sure he'll have a third option as well.

Science and religion are not separate, this is totally west mentality that thse two are different. Scince is dependable on Human and humans are not limitless. There is only one who is limitless. Everything which is being done by scientist is due to a cause. Science is emerging and may be in future the present theories will not be relevant. These are rules of nature.

The problem is not logic, the problem is assumptions. If you assume 1 = 3 then by logic of addition 1+ 1 = 3+ 3. People need to question the assumptions that everything has been created by a monotheistic god. Or that monotheistic god was talking to someone 1400 years ago.
What other assumptions can we possibly make?
