Actually there's a rule that you can only make multiple servings if there is more than one sim (child or older) living on the lot. If there's only one sim, they can only have quick meals or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Babies and toddlers bottles aren't restricted; you're allowed to take as many of those as you need.
