Mini McCusker I guess you really are not too old to start something, I really want to start figure skating, but I am 18 and thought I was way to old, but maybe if you can do aerial silks at 50 I can do ice skating.Your comment just gave me a boost of confidence. And this performance was beautiful!
Thank you. In my opinion, aerial arts are another form of dancing, an extension of that discipline and training. It's so much fun to play with and defy gravity!
Wow, Laura, that is one of the most beautiful performances I have ever seen. What grace, strength and sensuality. Bravo!!! Thank you so much for sharing this with me. What a joy to watch.
Thank you! I don't follow any particular diet other than to try to eat healthy, natural foods, not too much sugar or processed food with added chemicals. My mother is also very petite so I am genetically thin. Embrace who you are and appreciate your unique beauty and strength!
I hate how the really GREAT and mesmerizing silks performances on youtube don't have many views like this but loads of technical and boring routines get more views....:/
Laura Dasi and now over 350k! Laura you are an inspiration! I strictly did pole, and after watching more aerial dance performances (this one in particular), I decided to branch out into all aerial ❤ thank you for what you do!
Beautiful! I just started aerial silks a year ago and felt so clumsy, but this video motivates me to continue! It's not just figures in the air, as teh others have already said - it's a cocktail of figures, movements and flow that combine into a dance:) Bravo!
I recently started silks and this is one of my most favorite performances I've seen!! I've been a salsa/Latin dancer for 10 years, so it is SOOO awesome to see it tied into silks...this is such a gorgeous and creative routine, truly like a dance =o) different than anything I've come across yet! Lovely
I just came across this video after watching something else. This piece is very well choreographed to the music with excellent form throughout. Lots of beautiful leg lines evoke the feeling of tango. Nothing excessive or extraneous. I appreciate seeing quality over flashy moves that are poorly executed, as is the case so often these days.
Laura OMG!!! Watching your videos inspires me to keep training on silks. I just started 3 months ago and I hope to someday be able to move as gracefully as you do! So beautiful and elegant!!! ❤️
WOW! I have been doing ballet for 12 years now (non-professional) and have started training in pole and silks. This is absolutely stunning! The strength that you have with this is incredible. The last drop was breathtaking; what was the name of it (I want to learn it :)? I saw your other video from 2015 and both dances have such grace and strength. I have watched a lot of silk performances on youtube and I like your's the best; your ballet background really shines through all of your transitions. A lot of other silk performers have choppy transitions when preparing for a drop or wrapping themselves in the silk for their next pose/move (I have no room to speak as I am the choppiest of them all as I am only a beginner in silks lol, just making an observation); having dance under your belt really shows through as there are no moments of choppiness or hesitation. Throughout the entire 7 minutes there are no awkward preparations and pauses while you're wrapping yourself in the silk; everything looks effortless!!
AMAZING! I just love love love your performance. I'm gonna show this video to my aerial silk group as an example of perfection. I hope one day be as good as you!! thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Glad you appreciate the dance-like quality of my performance. To me, aerial arts is about so much more than doing a bunch of tricks. One needs to convey emotion, tell a story.
Laura you are so beautifull!I´m also an aerialist and you are a big inspiration! The way you dance with the silk is so full of life and feelings...you have a perfect technic but also much more than that! Thanks so much for your art!If you ever come to Portugal, please let me know,i would really love to meet you!Patrícia
Wow, I've seen a few of your other perfomances, and they are so captivating! I love every second of them! I've only recently started the silks and I hope I can reach your standards someday, so I can make others as happy as you do. :)
+Tiff Thank you! This is one of my favorite routines to perform...so much emotion. It seems that everyone has a different name of everything bit I call the last drop Lola.
I feel like your dancing with the silks and not just on it . I love this piece . If I may ask for practice would it be easier to have my hair up or down ? Thank you
Your endurance is insane. I've been doing silks for about nine months now and I love it, but I so do not have a 7 minute routine in me yet! Lovely performance!
+accordingtosam Thanks! The endurance is something you have to build. If you don't do this already, I would suggest that at the end of a class or training session put on a song and improvise on the silks. See if you can stay up there for the entire song then gradually increase your air time with longer songs. Really gives you a chance to figure out transitions, how to pace yourself and be creative.
Hi, is possible use some parts of this (or other) videos in my music videos? With credits to your channel of course. I found your work finding stock footage. I hope you do not offend and thanks in advance.
You are welcome to use my footage in your music videos, as long as you give me credit as you mentioned. And please share them with me when they're done! Would love to see.
Laura, loved this performance! You are amazing! This is a random questios, but where did you get your leotard for this performance? I'm looking for a black/red/lace leotard and really like the one you're wearing here.
As a fifty year old who has just started on silks, I have found your performance breathtakingly beautiful, and inspirational. Thank you.
So glad to hear that! And good for you....we're never too old to pursue our passions.
Mini McCusker I guess you really are not too old to start something, I really want to start figure skating, but I am 18 and thought I was way to old, but maybe if you can do aerial silks at 50 I can do ice skating.Your comment just gave me a boost of confidence. And this performance was beautiful!
Ahh, same! I'm 18 in one month and I've wanted to start figure skating since mid last year but I was too scared haha ^^ Maybe I'll give it a go... :)
You make this look easy. I adore this aerial tango :)
Your previous dance experience really makes this piece shine and stand out from other aerial videos. Well done.
Thank you. In my opinion, aerial arts are another form of dancing, an extension of that discipline and training. It's so much fun to play with and defy gravity!
I agree
your expression and fluidity between movements is beautiful! I'm 37 and just started learning a few months ago and you are lovely inspiration!

Laura Dasi and now over 350k! Laura you are an inspiration! I strictly did pole, and after watching more aerial dance performances (this one in particular), I decided to branch out into all aerial ❤ thank you for what you do!

I just came across this video after watching something else. This piece is very well choreographed to the music with excellent form throughout. Lots of beautiful leg lines evoke the feeling of tango. You have this way of climbing onto the silks that makes it seem effortless you move as if gravity ceases to exist for you.
Very inspirational performance! I love it!

I love this performance!! Such beautiful choreography! You are a truly inspiring performer. What is the name of the last drop in this sequence?
+Tiff Thank you! This is one of my favorite routines to perform...so much emotion. It seems that everyone has a different name of everything bit I call the last drop Lola.

Laura, loved this performance! You are amazing! This is a random questios, but where did you get your leotard for this performance? I'm looking for a black/red/lace leotard and really like the one you're wearing here.
Beautiful
Bravo!!!
The performance was amazing and unique.
You should work as a professional circus artist.
Can i ask how did you improve your flexibility?
7 minutes is insane. My hands feel like they're going to fall off after 2 minutes of simple tricks, haha
At some point I was like, “DON’TGET TANGLED UP THERE!”... she was amazing.
What is the name of the drop you did at 4:23? It was so cool!
leah rimer It's a slack drop. There are a few different slack drops with different set ups that allow you to slide down the fabric like that.
Soy fan.
i would love to do this but i can't take classes
how else can you learn this
Wow, that was so good!! Do you ever get dizzy hanging upside down so much or did you get used to it?
I'm completely use to spinning and being upside down. 20 years of ballet trained the dizziness out of me!
what is the last age for starting the do this it's amazing
+Sena Us anyone can do silks at any age, I started at 14, there is no right age, just go for it!
+Sena Us I just started at 26, there's no limit!
muy bueno!!
