Honestly the danger with Mexico and the US is tied for me. But the only reason Mexico has a higher murder rate is because so many people are involved in drug cartel business. So I think for the average tourist or citizen, they should be safe.

This is true, but not for the reason youd expect. The US is dangerous because the crime that happens here is completely senseless. If you accidentally wear the wrong colors in the wrong neighborhood, youre done. In mexico, however, the crime comes from the cartel business, and they understand (for the most part) that senseless violence is bad for business. That doesnt mean its safe, though, it just means that if you mind your own business and follow certain "guidelines", you dont have to worry about dying. Meanwhile in the US you can get shot and killed while just going about your day

@@failure4dude that’s so false. I’ve been quite a few major American cities. It has never even appeared as a possibility in my mind that I might get stopped at a cartel/gang checkpoint and get my truck stolen. It just doesn’t happen. Cartels don’t run the United States. They absolutely run mexico. I’ve never been through an army checkpoint. They don’t exist here. You just don’t get it, what you see as “normal” in Mexico just doesn’t happen in the US. People don’t get their trucks stolen. People don’t get shaken down at checkpoints.
