I don’t know when this was filmed, seems like long time ago, but that British guy was still there when I went to Phnom Penh prison for fighting in 2018. I found This prison not hard at all, if you got the money, foreigners get special special treatment, gets treated better than Cambodians. You get let out cells everyday, you can go to market ,this prison has a market just like outside world And restaurants, so you don’t have to rely on prison food, embassy comes in for a visit and they give you money, even 100USD goes long way in there. You can cook your own food. Buy all the ingredients at the market, equipped with almost everything you want. Meat veges fruits spices and sauces, they sell packet of cigarettes for less than 2usd and can even buy them individually for like 10cents. They sell coffees like cafe, and I even saw Chinese inmate with empty paint bucket full of tiger beers.. there are lot of Nigerians there, I saw rich Nigerian guy walking around with pocket full of weed and Samsung touch screen cellfone with wifi connected to it. Yes there’s wifi available , if you can get hands on the handheld devices. This cell looks miserable until you see rich guy on the corner playing Xbox with his own tv, yes. I seen it, almost every cell has flat screen tv with USB full of porn or foreign movies loaded on it. Guess who loads them on USB? The guards if you give them money. Everything costs fuck all in Cambodia, so for foreign pedos with money got it easy I will say. Compare to what will happen in western prisons
I served 8months in this prison in 2018. This prison has library but no English books but who needs a book, when almost all foreign inmates has his own hand held devices. we were aloud mp4 players with 6inch screen. This devices has SD card slot, with about 50 English movies in it. When you get sick of your SD card , you go around swapping and transfer movies. We are aloud mp4players , mp3. PSP and Xbox and even iPhones and Samsung phones. But phones are prohibited so gotta be careful not get caught. Almost every cell has someone with cellphones. Cambodians not that boring reading books in prisons. And if you have movies or shows you wanna watch? You give SD card to guards they download it for you, all you gotta do is give him 5bux... there are no spending limit in this prison, you can spend 100USD a day and live like a king in there, inmates working for you. Cooking for you, do laundry for you, and get massage without happy ending of course. And highlight of this prison is hospital, foreigners get to visit doctors whenever they want during yard time. You ask them for pills for pain and sleeping, they will give you most amazing pills you never knew existed. put you in most beautiful state of buzz, fall a sleep gradually.. and knocks you out for a night, so no worries if there are 20people in the room,
