Going to the dentist is stressful for any child but it can be especially stressful for a person with developmental delay. We make sure we prepare Autumn ahead of time with priming her and explaining to her what is going to happen. She is usually EXTREMELY difficult for the dentist and has very bad tantrums. We were absolutely blown away that she did so well and she was able to sit in the dentist chair all by herself without any problems.
