These are better sounding than Wilson or Magico in my opinion. And open baffle is a different thing. Usually done to save money and get an open Soundstage by default.

Stone is as good as it gets to stop vibrations in cabinet, definitely. Another item people don’t pay enough attention to is room acoustics & treatment! I had move and reset my system. The 4” thick ATS panels make a huge difference 😮 for bass detail & overall smoothness. I will also get some diffusion working. You can have grade A equipment but it’s a must to treat your room also or you don’t get the performance you have invested in. Blessings Mikey keep up the good work in telling your truth !

Retired into an RV and enjoying the challenges of having a great hifi system in a smaller space. 2 powered 12" subs with 2 way speakers on sand filled stands combined with a nice streamer and R2R Dac plus plenty of amplifier power. Used REW on laptop with a Umik-1 microphone and sounds way better than I thought it could. Dynamics and impact are amazing since the space is so much smaller than my basement theater system in our last house. Only planars now are in my headphone collection 😆 Enjoy the music ❤

Very interesting product offering OCD Mike. The weight of it makes it difficult to manage for a senior like myself. I would like to go back to planar/electrostatic speakers because I love that sound presentation, even with their short comings. I have heard a speaker from a French company, the Dyptyque DP 107. Yes I've heard of Diptique. My distributor carries them. So I can sell them. I like magnepan better due to the much stronger value. Also you have these stone speakers set in place and you don't move them. You HIRE 2 guys to place them for you. I don't move them either and I don't care about paying someone peanuts to place them for me.

I would imagine with an open back the presentation of the F&F would have a larger, more expansive Soundstage. Also Wilson can sound edgy in my experience. F&F has a smooth, natural high to me... these ship free and I'd give you a decent price on the ones I have here. Time to move up the chain and I don't have the room here !! I'm curious: is the front plate into which the drivers look to be screwed made of metal? If so, how is the plate secured into the slate? Glued, perhaps? I'm thinking it would seem very hard to put screws into slate (and take them out if the drivers ever needed servicing).
Correct. The drivers mount with machine screws into machined metal. Easy to remove drivers, but no reason to. They will play too loud before they break.
Now, answer me this. If a cabinet will be made of 1 inch baltic birch + 5mm slate, would it be worse than 25mm slate? Anyone made some scientific measures for this? Since even ME Geithain uses MDF cabinets, well.....
Scientific measurements are for NASA ot the center for disease... Not me.. You want MDF then I suggest you buy it... My clients dont give a shit about measurements by Lab Rats.. they care that I give my stamp of approval and guarantee the results..
Great looking speaker! Slate stone (rigidity) with an AMT and only $19 K is a value. I was always a fan and owner of the Oskar Heil AMT when they first came out in the 70s from ESS. Female voices were goose bump exceptional and realistic. Looking forward to your next impressive video. If the sound is realistic and engaging, the speaker for my ears is not exotic, but the way it should be made!.
I just can't part with my Hyperionsound HPS-938 speakers. They are not exotic speaker material but there were also similarities with magnepan in their sound.

Gamut rs line. All made in Denmark. Even the wood used are from there own Forrest ❤ can't say if they are better. Haven't compared them. But the quality is up there.

However some brands make their speakers out of natrual wood such as awak or birch which i think sounds the best By the way i think it is much more easy to make a speaker out of dirt/mud then wood so also i don't think that a speaker made of sand will give you any real sonic superiority

The weak point will be on woodwind type of music. Electronic/pop/rock music will be great on this speaker. Upfiring woofers won't suffer from back and forth movement and up don is limited by the full weight of the speaker.
I really like Val of Acora. He's a good guy. His speakers sound amazing. These are a less expensive stone option using Slate instead of Granite with similar cabinet results. These speakers punch well above thier price point.
Right Mikey. By no means that acoras are bad, but they became a target but for good reason such as performance and craftsmanship and service. I heard them recently and they were impressive. The Fishers allure me in the build and materials dept in the same way the acoras do. AMTs are not for everyone but are easily likable imo. Do these come in different trim levels?

there is more to making loudspeakers than Mundford crossover parts , and a making the cabinet out of stone . It absolutely means shit about the sound or sound quality . Mundorf passive crossover components are not top of the list by any means when it comes to passive crossover components , nor is a stone cabinet , especially if the insides of the cabinet are not extremely well damped, it means absolute shit . There is a lot more to making dynamic monitors than just the materials they are made of and crossover components
