- 21st WKF World Karate Championships France 2012 - Paris Bercy, 21-25 November. Kata Unsu and bunkai by Egypt female team. They placed 5th in this final vs Spain.

Beautiful kata....i love the sweeps
This has allways been my favourite kata! I learned it though with a bit slower moving, and much lower posture...
My dojo "Tora" was oldest in Finland, and we trained "old style shotokan", and "karate-do"
Sadly, that Dojo excist no more...
Of 2-3 hours training (3 times a week), we also spent first half of an hour for concentrating, breathing,.... etc. You know.
We had often Masters from Japan visiting us, and i asked my Sen-sei "why do we have Masters so often in our little country and our dojo?"
One Sen-sei wisiting us and teaching said: "We like to visit Finland and teach you. Finnish people understand traditions, and want to learn (old style). Humble people are the strongest. Will, makes even a small person, or nation greater, bigger than with out.
Finns have that spirit, mu-shin, and we are glad to teach one of the rare "gai-jin" people who understand traditions, knows that power is also in your MIND, not just in your technicks..."
I could not ask any more, ihad more answers than asked.

This is why they didn't won the gold even though i'm wondering how come they get the bronze in the first place !!!! .. good coordination but most moves in the bunkai have nothing to do with the kara unsu ... so yeah horrible bunkai true bro.
+Achille Peleus yes sadly sport oriented karate do has silly unrealistic hollywood type of bunkai.
