Last night four-for-four (against a rookie pitcher without precise control abilities) Tonight the golden sombrero (against a pitcher with excellent control who knows Julio's batting weak spots) Julio struck out four times in tonight's win... sometimes swinging, sometimes watching strike 3. After, I don't know, the second time striking out... why isn't Julio being instructed to NOT swing against a pitcher that is consistently pitching him inside and off the plate? Work a walk! There's more than one way to get on base. Julio's the fastest guy on the team... why isn't he being instructed to bunt the ball when the pitcher is not offering up his fave HR sandwich? Why is Julio so bad at protecting the plate when there are two strikes on him? Julio's problem isn't his swing or his timing... it's his situational adjusting and, perhaps, his creativity.
