Senor Augustin Hadelich! Usted tiene unas manos maravillosas! He escuchado su música! Muy buena! Yo soy un aprendiz del violín, 52, and I love the violin! You are one of my teachers! You are becoming one of my idols in the violin world! Tha k you for your videos! I watch!
I think that is, indeed, very helpful. Nobody ever described this approach to vibrato, or the preference of each finger to rebel in its own way! I hope you will do more and more of these tutorials.
Yes, that helped on my cello too. I was able to emphasize vibrato on a top tension note even when played with a weaker finger. Augustin, thank you for the comparison in the demonstration, so I could hear the difference.
Probably because it sounds better without vibrato. We've all been taught to do it, but vibratoing that note really doesn't make it sound good. You also don't get a true vibrato. You get air pulses when you vibrato a harmonic.
Who would thumbs down such genius? This man's level is off the charts in all attributes!
This dude is a goddamn violin genius
Those 14 comprise of Paganini, jascha heifitz, Fritz kriesler, Yehudi Menuhin, Milstein, Oistrakh,Pablo sarasate, etc
A Brilliant Violinist
He has wonderful control of his vibrato; one of the best!! Thank you Augustin!

Just curious... Why he did not vibrate the very first note in Bruch violin concerto? 2' 35" ?
Probably because it sounds better without vibrato. We've all been taught to do it, but vibratoing that note really doesn't make it sound good. You also don't get a true vibrato. You get air pulses when you vibrato a harmonic.
Because it's a low G which is played on an open string
what is that song he played?
Bruch's violin concerto
IT IS NOT A SONG!
Technically it is also a song but usually we call it a piece
@ottokarvonschnallenburg2572 it is absolutely a song, and a gorgeous one. You okay?
what violin he is using
That's a Strat worth over 3 million on loan to him
Strad. Yes. It's probably worth more than that now.
