Mopar Dwayne No problem! I'm one woman who really loves Challengers, especially when people do projects on them that actually look good and fit their history. And oh ok, does cold weather effect the pins or cables somehow?
Hey! Had my T/A for a bit over 2 months now and wonder if you're loving it as much as I'm loving mine. My dealer put on my pins and cables before I left the lot the day I bought it. I'm taking mine down to Medford (I live in Southern Oregon) to an Expel dealer to get my hood, roof and trunk wrapped. It's the only thing about this car that I don't like now, and that's having to be so damn careful with the matte finish. No worries after I get it back. I'll let you know how it looks and do a video on it. I'm not a big video person, but will try. I hear ya though, at 58 years old, this is the best car I've ever owned. Traded in a 2011 V6 Camaro RS for it and even though that car was the most reliable I've ever owned, this T/A is leaps and bounds better.
Do I understand you correct ? Are you getting your T/A Rewrapped ?? I know its harder to Clean and Maintain the Factory Matte finish because I'm still trying to find a GOOD SEALER AND PROTECTOR fINISH . sO FAR Not a Fan of "Chemical Guys Matte Sealand or Ultimate Matte Cleaner" . Both are Crap. But What are you Planning to do Exactly?
2017 Challenger T/A Yes, I had my car "re-wrapped" and I love it so far. You can check it out at: xpel.com Once there, on the "products" tab, find Xpel Stealth and it will tell you all about the stuff. It wasn't cheap but the biggest let down after I bought my T/A was the fact that I'd have to baby the paint and vinyl on the car. I didn't want to do that so I found this stuff through a forum I belong to. I didn't want to screw around with different cleaners for the hood, trunk and roof. I like to wash my car and do it A LOT. With this stuff, I just wash my car the way I used to and have no worries about screwing up the matte finishes. The stuff is guaranteed for 10 years (hell, I'm not even guaranteed for that long...lol) Send me an email and I'll give you more about my feelings about the stuff after it was installed and I have some pics to share... my email is: WhiteKnuckleTA@gmail.com
Xpel Stealth looks like it will do very good job at protecting your T/A. I just don't have the funds to do that at this time. But I did find a Excellent Product for Cleaning and Protecting the Matte Finish and Its Called RAT WAX !!! Works Amazing !!
I Love this Car !! Best Car Ever!! Only thing I would Suggest is Get the Top of the line Stereo Headunit that includes Nav if your in Canada, otherwise you don't get Apple Car Play .I made that mistake figuring I would save the 700$ on Nav and use Apple Car Play but no go here in Canada.Best thing about a T/A is the Sound of the Exhaust it's off the Hook!! I'LL post it here soon so you can get an idea,Its different than the R/T more like the Hellcat !! ATB
You have the EXACT car I want. Color and everything. Very nice car, sir. I'm waiting until I have enough to put down to lower the payments to about $400 a month so it's manageable. Plus with the large down payment, I'm hoping to talk then down a little on the price to get me to $350- $400 a month payments. How are you liking your car so far??
Love to drive the Car every chance I get its my Daily Driver for now . This past weekend went to a Car Show and Cruise .Had a blast meeting new car nuts and Rippin up the Streets a Little .LOL ...
Hi I just bought the same T/A and color, I Love the color combo. Do you or anyone know where they keep the cables when you buy new, I can't seem to locate mine, not sure if they were lost, misplaced, or just somewhere I have not looked yet, The pins are all ready to go but no cables were on when I left from the dealer. thank you.
@@mopard2565 I can't find the headlamps with the air intake for my 16 scat any where online, planning on grabbing a redeye hood with the twin snorkel ram air and would like to combind the headlamps with air intake with the twin snorkel ram air hood but got to find out where I can grab a set first
I have a 15 scat. The air inlets are already on the head lights. You just have to pop out the plastic center cap from the backside. Very easy. Lots of videos. Check out Merrick Motorsports headlight intake tubes for the install.
That Challenger is beautiful! The hood pins made it look even more amazing. I would pass it down through the generations.
Thanks Man! I took them off for the Winter... Plan on Reinstalling them this weekend! can't Wait to start the Summer !!

I took the cables off for the winter months Approx Nov- Apr. lol
That looks pretty badass and remember always pins facing inward
Thanks for posting this. Just got a new leftover 2018 T/A and wasn't sure how to attach the cables. Gonna do that and install the bright pedals now.
how did u mount the base for the pins tho? u just skip that part huh?
I have the same car. Mounting the base was as easy as picking the car up since it a factory installed part.
