How is story of seasons friends of mineral town ? I really liked the look of that game but am not sure if it’s stress inducing or relaxing
Recently spent a lot of money on games. (Hades physical edition, The Last of Us Part 2, expansion pack of Sid Meier's Civilization VI for switch) But as soon as it goes under $10. I'm buying it immediately. Brilliant review. The only thing sad / weird is that this game is only available on the North American eShop. South Africa / Europe do not have it on their eShop
I got this for switch and got addicted. Also, I can move bugs. Just not stumps. You have to chop them down and then can replace them but you get all of your materials back which is so nice. The only thing I really wish this game provided was a way to replenish maybe a limited amount of energy in a day.

This game is truly excellent and relaxing in everything. I did play like 10h on it and mooved on. But starting tonight i'll play before sleep and plan to succeed on most goals the game set up.
nice relaxing game, but Im 60 hours in and it has turned into a very tedious grind. Buying endless random items in the hope that one of them will unlock some (any) sort of new development Ive had my moneys worth, but I don't think I can stomach completing it
Despite Littlewood for Switch is the Deluxe edition with all past updates as compared to its base game first launched for PC, we can wish for the developer to implement new DLCs in the not-so-distant future.
I feel the same. I really liked it at first. After I while I got hooked and loved it. Then I realized how important "rare items" are. Ugh. I'd rather it be tied to your skill levels (which are fun to level up).
This game looks rather interesting and I do enjoy the design of it but I'm gonna stick with rune factory 5 when that drops. Still a nice short little sweet review!

I like the way this game looks, but if I have to choose between Stardew Valley and this one which one would give me the most to do in-game? I tried a Rune Factory game, but so far it hasn't got much to going on besides 2 tiny quests a day and some watering so I am looking for a different game now
Don’t be fooled! Rune Factory is one of the deeper games in the genre, so the more you play, the more you’ll unlock things! In fact many of the games in this genre usually start you off with one thing, then slowly unlock other gameplay features. The question is how fast they unlock, which varies. Considering that, I do think that Stardew Valley has a lot more to do and a ton more depth of gameplay when compared to Littlewood. However, once a lot of its gameplay unlocks, it can be very challenging to keep track of it all! In which case, I do highly recommend getting the physical guide for Stardew from Fangamer and is the perfect compliment to that game! Trust me, it can be a lot to keep track of! Conversely, if you just wanna have a good time and play a similar game with lower impact and something that you can easily pop in and out of, Littlewood will suit your needs!
You said you can date your towns people. But just curious if it's restricted. Like can you only date certain npcs? And on top of that is there a level of customization for your character like gender and such?
There's no way to indicate gender for your character, and you can date everyone except for the old guy! There's minimal customization in the form of skin color, hair color, clothes, and hair style

Good question! No combat, just collecting things, building stuff, unlocking new locations and upgrading facilities/biomes! And leveling up your activities and town relationships!

I used to have a hard time getting into farming sims too - and then a friend of mine suggested Dragon Quest Builders 2, which is like a hybrid of Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Minecraft. It balances combat with farming and building and it really showed me how great these kind of games could be when you spend time with them. So tldr: try Dragon Quest Builders 2! Lol
It's apparently only out in North America, but will be available in other regions over the next few weeks! The developer is working with Nintendo to get the game in those regions ASAP!

I wanted to like Animal Crossing, Story of Seasons but I found them tedious, tiring and grindy when I was doing things for the NPCs. I gave up on them and never touched them again. How does Littlewood implement the same objectives to be accomplished differently and more engaging for the player like me?
Excellent question. For the most part, a lot of these games are all about trying to build up your town in a variety of ways. In Littlewood, the game tries to simplify the kind of knowledge you need by making resource acquisition simpler. However, this is a double edged sword. By not having multiple resources to discover and acquire, it is overly simplifying the kinds of activities you're able to do, making the gameplay loop feel monotonous in the process. It is also more reliant on RNG to give flavor to the gameplay. That said, if you're looking for a game like this that you'd like to fully immerse yourself in and spend hours, this might not be your game. It's a game that's great when played in short bursts, and as an in-betweener.
It's definitely a game that you can't treat in the same way as Stardew Valley or Rune Factory, as the gameplay is definitely overly simplified. I think it has its place for people who don't want to invest that much time into it, but I absolutely can see it from your perspective!
@@BacklogBattle I did finished the game, my girlfriend used to love it but the same thing happen no more progression except the book, building house and stuff doesnt really make it better since everything can easily be done, the game is just lacking a bit of a goal a real one that drive the player

This game is super cute. It looks super relaxing and a perfect chill game in-between other games.
It really is! Not a lot of things to keep track of, and the ones you do, it’s fairly easy to do so!

Definitely looks worthy to play, kind of reminds me of the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons series with something closer to Stardew Valley

I finally got around to my time at Portia and if you haven't played that one, I'm finding it to be nearly the platonic ideal of the genre

Doesn’t affect the story, they can move in, and you get blueprints from them after marriage
