Awesome video...loved it. I wouldn't bother injecting a turkey I'm deep frying. NOTE: Turkey deep frying 'Black Belt Tip' : When lowering your turkey into the oil, turn your propane off first. That way, if something goes sideways and you have a spill you won't have a potential hazardous oil fire to deal with.
Great video. I’ve been frying turkeys several times a year for over 20 yrs. I tried the indoor model once and went right back to propane and oil. Love peanut oil but was asked to use vegetable or corn due to peanut allergies. You’ve got the safety features down pat. By SLOWLY lowering the bird in 375 degrees, you’ll know right away if you have a problem. One suggestion, after the last bird, put 8-10 ears of corn in that basket and fry for 4 minutes. All that seasoning tastes great on the corn.
Tip: put the turkey you are planning on frying into the pot first, then pour regular water in until it is about 2” above the turkey. Then take the turkey out and make a mark inside the pot at the top of the waterline. Then dump the water and fill the oil to that point. This will prevent you from accidentally putting in too much oil that could spill over the top once you lower the turkey in. Also, this will prevent you from putting in too little oil.
We did two this past Saturday. One in the oil fryer and one in the turkey air fryer. Both injected, oil faster air fryer took about 2 hrs. Both were extremely juicy and really good. We'll have to try one without the injection.
That guy with the leaf blower at the end is my life! We live on a golf course and it starts at 5:30 every morning. 🤬. Great video, Nicole and happy Thanksgiving to your gang there! 😘
Hi Nicole - Great video and lots of fun. I'll never fry a turkey, but it sure was fun watching you. I'm having Costco Rotisserie Chicken for Thanksgiving. Yes I'm old and like things easy. Have a great Thanksgiving and sure wish I was your neighbor. Love PegEgg
Yes "YOU" fried the turkeys to PERFECTION. Fried turkey rules for Thanksgiving but deep fried whole chicken is for every other day of the year. Chicken @3 - 3 1/2 minutes per pound, check with Thermapen @3 minutes per pound, go the longer time if necessary. The oil will maintain temperature better with the smaller bird. Have 2 pots and filter oil when it cools to ~120°F from 1 to the other leaving the sludge for discard. I use it for 4 turkeys and 6-8 chickens before it gets too dark and polymerized ie unhealthy. Try a chicken injected with buffalo wing sauce with extra for dipping. Make steak fries in the same oil serve with blue cheese or ranch dip and baked beans. Have plenty of cold beverage at hand.
Yeh, fun experiment, but fried turkey is a dried up carcass of a mess. Glorious tender traditioinal roasting for me: I think Denise feels the same. Filming with family and neighbors all around must have been daunting, too. Cuz, now youre famous, girl.

Sir, I defer to your experience. Great information and insight. Thank you for sharing...much appreciated 🙏
Easily one of my favorite 'All Recipes' video yet! I think I'd pick the seasoned one also..😏👍🏽
Always wanted to try a deep fried turkey 🍗 I think it's time ....thank you for sharing ❤

I agree, but when you dump the water be sure to dry the pot very well.
Or just use the full lines that are marked on the pot. DUH!
Also great info for making sure you have the perfect amount of oil.
Also turn the flame off when u lower it in. I use to deep fry by injecting the bird but I now brine it for 24-28hrs.
Also a hose ain’t putting out a grease fire as she said. Quite the opposite.

What? There is a turkey "air fryer "?
And please turn off the fire while you’re slowly lowering the Turkey into the pot so you prevent a chance of fire!
No injection. I wanted to jump through my computer and join you, that turkey looked amazing!
Fantastic video & incredible yummy-looking turkeys. Loved seeing you at home with your family!! More like this, please.
Ha great video! Looks real sweet out there with the fall leaves & warm clothing, very much a holiday vibe with family
nice job! i inject with plain salted butter(lots of it!) and season with salt and pepper!

I agree with you regarding no injection now you do girl! I am happy and have been involved with food for about 50 years - you go girl…. 😊
My favorite is deep fried turkey 🍗!
I love your videos!! Yes...leave the deep frying to the guys....they bond while doing it.
I do the same injection but I also season the outside with the Tony Chachere's. It is amazing every year and everyone come over for it.
Awesome 👍😍
