I got myself an airbrush on christmas, and I've been ready to use it for 2 months, but not finding the courage to do it, honestly... Yesterday tho, I tried to put some paint on some reaper goblins, and trying to be less scared, so this video comes at a perfect moment, honestly.

Very cool video. I have a pretty decent selection of inks and one of my hobby goals for this year is to start using them a lot more, as well as using oil paints for more than just washes and weathering.

    Hi there,
Really great video. Lots of precious advice, as usual I would say. I am following your channel for months now, watching each and every video... and you are probably the only one. You are really an example to me. I am about to quit my job and try to leave from our passion here in France. I have my blog for some months now, as soon as possible a youtube channel. So I really learn a lot from you, not only about painting, but about making amazing videos. Always such good quality in terms of sound, images, content...
One of my goals : to get to the point where we could do something together as you sometimes do with other painters (like in you Fiver video and other stuff).
Keep it going Emil (hope I write it well), you channel is definitely my favorite :-)

Definitely not ready to move to airbrush(mostly due to lack of space) Looking at your space at 2:37 into the video, you have your big lamp lighting your work surface. Is the overhead hanging light acting as your second light source or do you feel the Lamp is adequate for your painting needs? I found and ordered that exact lamp and love it, but I am still trying to figure out how to position it for a cross between max efficiency for lighting and freedom of movement. Thank you again for the great tutorials!

The evolution can do exactly the same thing as the infinity. I use an evolution - You can switch out your needle if you have the 0.4 one to a 0.2 if you want a tiny bit more control. But you don't need up switch airbrush, evolution is really good. And yes, it can be used on warhammer too.

I watch Sergio use multiple layers and colors for something like skin tone. How do you decide to blend them all, or is it just easier to blend between 2 colors and work your way up to greater highlights?

Hi Emil, doubt on the first base coat, when you say is a thick coat, you mean you put a lot of paint at once, or also the dilution is thick?

How much are you thinning down your paint to smooth out your layers? Also, is there an easy way to figuring out a midtone?
