The thing about CCP is that when you see the clothes alone they are very avant garde, very morbid if you will, but once you see the clothes being worn they look awesome, this is probably intended as ccp often used this idea of clothing being an individual object

Damm man I was considering getting the derby version, but you might have flipped my mind. Also this is the first time I see them worn like real combat style, most people actually tailor fit them if I can say so....
Yeah thats true! I prefer them that way.. (derbies are also so beautiful but considering the retail prices are very close to each other I think you get "more shoe" for your cash with the boots)

When i bought CCP from Italy to Canada, I paid $230 in duties. Had to do an exchange, so I paid like $60 to ship them back. When the other pair came, this time the duties was $270 lol. Luckily in Canada, you can get the duties refunded if you shipped the package back, but that entire process took half a year. Oh, not to mention, the pair i sent back to get exchanged was held up by Italy customs from Dec to February lol and nothing I could do because Italy customs don't speak English and I used federal post. In the end, the seller helped me out. Never use USPS/Canada post. Always go DHL or Fed Ex when shipping international. Their brokerage customer support can help you sort out customs issues.
Crazy! I sometimes think about one CCP item and the average numer of owners over the years and the hundreds of dollars that are wasted on customes everytime they are shipped to the next owner..

Yeah I have never seen any other pair on Grailed.. Not too many out in the wild yet.. But I am sure that will change soon..

In my country if you get the package from anyone else rather than the post office you are basically fucked. If you send it from post office to post office and you mark it as a gift you are probably clear to go. If you mark it for low value there is a chance they ask you for receipt, paypal and everything. If there is a difference (which it wil be since you mark it lower) you are fucked and you usually pay the whole thing. I always try to pull the gift stunt. The problem with this is if the package is lost. Then if you are the seller you cant get a refund. If you are the buyer you just ask paypal for your money back since the package never arrived.

German customs have no right to view your transactions do they? That's like something from an authoritarian regime. To avoid customs you just get the seller to put down a false value, that works in my country anyway.
I dont think they do, no.. All my packages are marked low value, never worked lol

haha my old pair is loong gone.. You would prob need a CCP 10 or 11 but I recommend trying some on before spending the big bucks only to find out that they dont fit (been there lol)
David, I guess this is not for everyone. Not a fan of clunky, chunky footwear. I expected more from Poell from this collection. Slapping a slab of crepe on the bottom soles and passing it off as a variant of the combat boots? Let's see what has up his sleeve in his next collection(should there be any in the coming years..). Enjoy wearing them mate. What matters is your opinion. Cheers!
