What a talent!!!! In all my years I've have never heard a pianist so complete in ability, fathomless technique and soul. Each individual note is so tenderly caressed. I am absolutely humbled to have lived to witness this obviously genius.
For the first time I heard not 12 etudes from Chopin's Opus 25, but Opus 25 from 12 etudes! With its own development, culmination and coda! An absolutely original performance by a brilliant pianist with a rare talent! Simply fantastic...
There doesn't exist a "best" pianist ... There are good, excellent, outstanding, moving ones ... but "best" is only some horse in a particular race. Cheers.
Daniil is an absolute genius and is one of the very very best of the younger pianists today. His control of tempo and voice is just incredible as well as his amazing technique of course.
Siiiii......es una combinación de una increíble fuerza avasalladora y al mismo tiempo , intrinseca musicalidad , profunda ternura y delicadeza . Genio!!!
Looking at his DG videos of late I note Daniil has acquired a number of haters. That's to be expected, I guess, when you a clearly in an artistic league of your own and your inferiors know it and feel they must remonstrate. Trifonov is on track to be remembered as one of the greatest pianists of any generation.
That's not because of mere jealousy. He's approach to music is kinda peculiar. Therefore, whether a person would like it or not is highly dependent. And although it works most of the time, it also doesn't work sometimes.
This fantastic young pianist Trifonov; is performing with his heart and sweatting - the audience is dreaming and enjoying - and me, spellbound with tears through the opus 25 of Chopin... I just love this art!! Totally welldone mr. Trifonov
Hard to guess if these are tears or sweat running down his face, so much he's transfigured by what he plays. Daniil Trifonov, it's beauty and musical genius brought to their heights.... 😥
I always think the the sweat that would normally come out of his hands transfers to his head so he doesn't have to worry about his hands being slippery while playing.
Wow!! There is no such thing as the best pianist nor interpretation. There’re lot’s of very very good pianists. Yet there are a few who are “the olympians”: Trifonov joined them at this very moment

Phenomenal and exquisite performance, but also a bit on the wild and crazy side for Chopin and somewhat lacking in elegance and nobility which are essential elements of Chopin.
Nobility and elegance aren't "essential" for Chopin, especially in the tumultuous etudes that conclude this set. What about the 8th prelude, or the finale of his 2nd Sonata? That's madness at work! And we wouldn't expect that madness in the concerti, or waltzes, which is why the notion of an aristocratic Chopin is too narrow.
@@kimsahl8555 I will not agree. Music is misic. We can not play like robots. We are humans and we have feelings. Etudes (especially Chopin's) do not have only difficulty but also moving melodies. It would hurt me if someone played etude op 25 no 7 or op 25 no 12 without feelings and emotions .
@@georgeantipov7870 Yes, music is music (music is not a chair, is not a pc) - but etude is etude and nocturne is nocturne: About etude Pollini tell us a story of great technique and great "etude-feelings" (even in the op.10/3). Well - etude op.25/7 is "abnormal" but still not a nocturne, and op.25/12 is very far from "nocturne-feelings" and trying to put som romantic rubato in it will destroy the very great music.
Thank god for performers like Trifonov who are not afraid to break the mould, breathing new fire into pieces we have heard a thousand times before!
