Yea... that last touch... granted I'm no professional ref but I was leaning towards attack right on that one. I suppose that after looking at the replay a bunch of times that Gerek pulled his arm back before the lunge and that's what the call was about but... idk how I feel about that one.
So weird, I hate it. Marini pulls his elbow back right back behind his torso, whereas only Meinhardt's hand moves back with his elbow staying in roughly the same place.
Always fun and insightful to listen to your commentary work - sad for Gerek to see this sudden shift of control in the bout. Would you say this is most likely a matter of concentration on Gerek's part or rather Marini adapting his game?
Most of the actions Gerek got hit on during Marini's comeback were actions that were 50/50 for Gerek earlier in the bout, like the stepping in while searching and the withheld attack off the line. That indicates it was Marini who adapted to those situations better.
7:53 ive noticed this before and its really confused me. It looks like the off target light on the bottom overlay turns on slightly earlier than the light in the actual video. The only explanation is that the livestream is somehow delayed a bit compared to the overlay
The legend is back!!!!

Last one should be simul. They both did similar footwork and both pulled their arm back.

the streams tend to be delayed compared the actual scoring machines
