- I had been watching the G1 Transformers cartoon, and arrived at the infamous 1986 movie. Here is my reaction to watching it for the first time.

My favourite movie as a kid and still today I love it, so pleased a new generation is discovering it.
It's such a great movie. I can't wait to rewatch it.
By far my favourite animated movie of all time. I’m a kid who grew up in the 2000s with the Bayverse designs but my dad introduced me to G1 when I was 6 and I actually loved G1 more and I still do. I remember watching the 86 movie and I fell in love with it even more. G1 is riddled with animation errors, especially in S3 but you know you are a diehard fan if you can ignore those things and the continuity errors (such as where Optimus primes trailer disappears to lol 😂) I often find myself quoting so many lines from this movie as it’s so iconic and the soundtrack is very 80s which makes me love it more. I’m 18 years old and Transformers is my 3rd favourite franchise to this day. I’m glad you enjoyed the movie. The only nitpick I have to say for your video is that Unicron is not a Decepticon he is his own omnipotent deity that roams the known galaxy destroying worlds to bring chaos and destruction for power. Xx

This film introduced me to the concept of death, tainted my childhood and in hindsight, got me into film scoring. I fucking love it with all my heart. Top notch review.

It's not really a reaction, it's honestly more of a reflection on the movie I watched. I actually don't have the tech for that currently. It'd be fun to do something like that someday though. Thanks for the feedback!
Happy to hear you finally watched this series and movie and even happier to hear you liked it. This is genuinely in my top 20 animated movies of all time. I intend to make an in-depth review of why it is so good sometime in the future.

@@christianmckittrick2582 This is an amazing movie, and after watching the first two season’s the death of the characters will hit harder, I remember when I did watch the shuttle scene with Prowl, Ironhide, Brawn and Ratchet, and just how it really disturbed me, like it still kind of gives me that feeling watching it today because of how brutal it was but overall fantastic movie I love it to bits.
Oh also if you really love Transformer’s you will definitely love the Transformer’s War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, video game’s they feel just like the 80’s cartoon (They make a lot of references to this movie as the creators of the game’s loved the 80’s cartoon) and they use the original design’s for the game, though I think you’ll have to other them online, but I highly recommend these two game’s for any Transformer’s fan or anyone getting into the franchise their that amazing they are a must have, though their on the older Xbox 360, unfortunately they never got rereleased.

@@christianmckittrick2582 Yup your welcome and dude your going to love War for Cybertron, the characterization, the score, the story and the voice’s, everything is just so well done, and the best thing you can transform into their alt mode whenever you want it’s not restricted, I know I’m probably gushing to much but this game solidified me being a Transformer’s fan along with the 80’s cartoon series and movie.
I'm surprised you liked it. I just saw another reviewer who watched it with her husband and her criticism was very laughable. Every thing you said was pretty much the opposite of the lady. You liked the music but she claimed it felt like one long music video. And the worst criticism was one she blasted Blurr's voice. She claimed the voices should be deep like the live action movies but that drew me rolling my eyes. And then she claimed she couldn't differentiate the robots in this film but could you in the live action films? Michael Bays designs were terrible and every character looked almost alike. At least the cartoons, every character looked different and had personalities. I think even if you didn't like this film, I felt you would had gave it a better critique on why it didn't do justice for you. This made my day after seeing the other awful review disguised as an opinion.

When I saw this in the movie theater, it went silent when Optimus Prime died. Followed by tears and shock.

It's a famous moment! That's one of the main things a lot of people remember this movie for.
Now watch season 3 and 4 and you can watch season 5 but it in Japanese
If you don't mind subtitles or anime and enjoy the 80s cartoon then try the 3 Japanese series that were made to continue the story.
Especially Super God Masterforce which is a completely new take on Transformers.
