I agree. Their sound design is distorted and screecy, but yet they make amazing melodies and are clearly very good at putting their emotion in these tracks. Powerful and euphoric, yet hard...best combination in my opinion! :)

this track is absolutely amazing. I just graduated from college last week and although simplistic, the lyrics embody my mindset so well, and that uplifting melody with the signature hard kick. one of the best, if not the best track ive heard so far this year.

I didn't say it was not created in 2000 dude. Back in 2000 it was still percieved as Hardhouse like HQ from UDC. In 10 years time it evolved to the style it is today and you cannot say that Hardstyle took some elements from the Hardcore scene throughout the years. But your story is absolutely right.

Hardcore has many many subgenres. Hardstyle just one and that is his raw little brother. Hardstyle developed through hardcore. In 2003 it sounded more like techno with a hard reverse bass. The style evolved through hardcore, so you could call hardstyle a subgenre of hardcore nowadays.
This should really fit an anthem:)
