Cheers!
Thanks very much starlo. Viewing pleasure indeed.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love it when a new video of yours pops up, fill of information and always a nice relaxed commentary . Keep them coming.
Thanks so much! I will.
Those stinger hooks carry the day!
Yes, they certainly make a difference! 👍
Awesome Starlo, love your work
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video starlo 👍💯
Thanks 💯!
Great clip starlo, you are absolutely right it pays to change things around and look outside the box. Cheers mate.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great vid mate, love it!
Cheers mate!
It would be really good if they make a 50f or even 45f version of the Lygen. I find that Smaller presentations work best on high pressured bream. They are great on the bass and trevally but not having as much luck on them on the monster bream up on the Goldcoast. My Biggest northern Yellowfin bream I've managed up on my local measured 57cm and I've been blown away by bigger fish but they are only hitting smaller bait. Smaller lures don't cast as far but on the right gear they cast fine, bfs fishing techniques can get bigger fish after all as the saying goes elephants sometimes prefer peanuts.
True enough, although I do like the long-casting capabilities of the 66F… but a 55F could be a handy addition to the tackle box!
Great little sesh on bream and flatties
Cheers!
Excellent viewing as always
Thanks so much!
very good
Thanks!
Loved the video starlo 🤝
Thanks!
Awesome video champion
Thank you! Please share it with those who you think might get something from it. 🙏
Nice going looks like a nice place
It is!
Ive bought over $ 3000.00 worth of rods and reels that i have not even used yet at least your out using yours steve 😉👍
You’ll have to do something about that! 👍
Such clean fish and i noticed not one of them had saddle back.
Gd session well done
Cheers! 👍
Some nice fish! I have found that overcast days can be good for topwater fishing. That lure was very effective…..hmmmmmmm! Ka ching!
For sure!
Thanks Starlo!
I’m a bit of a Tuross regular, but haven’t done much surface stuff only the odd bent minnow. Can you please share any info on the surface lures you like the most. Best wishes & might see ya down there
I love the Sammy and the Sugarpen, but these new Ligens are quickly becoming a favourite.
Beautiful morning on a beautiful waterway. Just curious Starlo, as i havent lived down that way for 15 years, what happened with Coila creek? As i remember it was being earmarked for complete closure (rec and commercial) despite how well it was able to support rec angling whilst still having commercial pressure. Cheers,
Thanks. It certainly was a nice morning. Coila Creek has been a sanctuary zone for many years now and that has actually proven to be a boon for the system’s black bream population - perhaps even its saviour, as the lake is still heavily netted.
Hey Starlo do youy know much about the eco gear prawn soft plastics and how to fish them and what sort of Jighead to use. The bream seem to always be spooked by me no matter what size jighead or lure
No, I haven’t fished them but I’m sure they’d be good. Use the lightest jig head you can get by with.
Always enjoyed your adventure's starlo. Do you prefer using f.c on surface, or mono.?
Cheers! I don’t find a lot of diffference. This was FC as that’s what I mostly tend to use for leaders. No real reason. It’s just what I have on board. 😉
Starlo do you have a video or any info regarding the stinger hook setup you have on the Ligen?
They’re just small commercially made assists. A few companies make them. They come already attached to a little split ring and you simply remove the tail treble and replace it with these. They’re deadly!
@@StarloGetsReel Cheers mate, I think ive found them
That vanford reel sounds good when the fish takes line, what do you think of the vanford line of reels ?
I really like them! Pretty good value, too.
Hi Steve hope your doing well question.
I ware the same camo hunting gear when I’m fishing because it’s comfortable and I also do a bit of landbased fishing for the 4 legged kind haha
Do you ware this camo because it helps well camouflage your body on the boat or landbased can the fish see out of the water and this helps or is what I’m saying all a bunch of waffle and a stupid question.
I’d like to hear your thoughts and experience with that clothing as you ware it often as do it when fishing
Not waffle at all! Great question. I wear camo in shallow, sight fishing scenarios (stalking trout etc) because I reckon it conceals me better. I wear it most of the rest of the time because it hides creases and stains! Plus, I just like it! ;)
@@StarloGetsReel I didn’t think of that creases that’s bloody good point thanks mate
Ever get tarwine on the hard bodies? I dont think I've ever tempted one on a lure.
I’ve caught the odd little one locally and some better ones in WA (mostly on soft plastics from memory). We don’t see a lot of decent ones in my neck of the woods but some of the WA lure guys get some crackers, especially on lures like the Muss’ Vibe.
Quite right Starlo, it’s called fishing and not catching
The other pearl of wisdom is people constantly ask,
“when is the best time to catch a fish”
And the answer is of course
“five minutes after catching a fish ………..”
Spot on!
