I start my day by doing a thorough pre trip inspection and pray before I get rolling every day or night, I will grab a drink and a snack when I start driving
I wake up and give him thanks for the ability to wake up with a blessed day.
I just started driving for prime as a company driver. I came into the company as an experienced driver. I didn’t need to train . I was giving my truck right after orientation. Ive been driving for prime for 3 weeks now. I know it’s too early too say how good the company is but so far I’ve been getting the miles and pay I want.
Would you mind sharing an estimate on what that is? After taxes? Thanks and drive safe
I just retired from the over the road after 20 years. It was great. I enjoyed it. My only problems were the colour of my skin. I am black. Color did not help me all the whole. What was important was the one paying me. The miles were right and the money was right. Have fun girl just be your self . The white lines on the road will go by quickly. Watch them fly by.

I understand what you're saying. I lay in bed for about 2 minutes. Unless planned, I don't like to be rushed. I wake up early enough, to go slow and then just get into the day. After 4 years retired more $ is helpful, only working 16.5 hours a week. Never been easier to request a day off. My workday starts late so 7:30-8:00 isn't early for me (like it was before I retired). Best wishes everyone; all over the USA and continents beyond.

My morning starts with conversations with God while making my bed, coffee food and dog chores. Routines work best for us. I think I drove by you in Iowa or maybe just another red prime truck. 1st thing i do when i wake up is get out of bed then WC -shower get dried dressed then have my breakfast all without of getting out of my truck yes i have a kenworth w990 bought it in 2000 and rengined with a scania S770hp V8
Funny that you mention about the bathrooms coz that’s the 1st thing I check one of the many reasons I chose Love’s over Pilots~some of the bathrooms in the Pilots are down right out disgusting imo

Sounds like things are going good. This USA really if beautiful. We saw things we wouldn’t have seen if not trucking. We took our kids and later some of the grandkids with us sometime . They loved it. My dad it and so I hitch a ride with you every now and then. Sure a lot different than when we were out there. When I drove very few women drove and some of the guys didn’t like it. Take care , stay safe and have another Starbucks. See you onthe turn around. We trucked from 63-94. My husband had a bad stroke and it paralyzed him. Lost him in 2005 to cancer..
