Darren delivered the BEST performance that I've ever seen him do. He was raw, he was beautiful, he was Hedwig. He completely embodied her and everything that she's been through, and it was mind blowing. This was his dream role, and he was phenomenal. I've never been more proud of him, and proud to call myself a fan. He truly is an AMAZING role model.

Dude this is crazy. I thought Darren Criss was a bad actor bc of his work on glee (he was good in his first season, but the rest.. Not so much). But watching him as Hedwig blows my mind! He does this character so well! He really brings Hedwig to life!
i'm necroing here but darren was unfortunate--nobody could've pulled blaine off. the writing for blaine wasn't the best. blaine's character jumped all over the place, one scene he's x and one scene he's y, which was confusing for viewers but i imagine even more so for the actor. and actual character development for blaine only started in like the 5th season? after the quarterback? so there also wasn't a lot of stuff for darren to showcase... hope you checked out his (emmy-winning!) performance in acs versace too! he was simply, simply phenomenal as andrew cunanan.
I was lucky enough to see Darren in his final performance on Broadway 19 July 2015 and my life can be easily divided into two parts - life BEFORE seeing Darren live and life AFTER. Such incredible talent from a stunningly lovely man. I'm so glad this exists.

I saw every one of the Broadway Hedwig leads. And JCM was the most believable, NPH the best performer, Darren had the clearest voice (so you could follow the story.) Lena was the most dangerous when she did it!
