so this really did start out as just a "vocal moments" compilation, and i'm doing the other albums right now, but after doing it for a bit i was like, you know what? it's funnier to have memes and commentary and shit like that because 1) it's realistic since i never shut the fuck up in real life 2) it's boring to just stare at a still image for like 15 minutes.
so here's the normal album. 'everything is a lot' and 'self-ish' will be their own cute little hybrid video bc then it'll also be around the same length, instead of just one long ass thirty minute video.
anyway the normal album fucks and i adore every single song on there. but holy shit this was a pain to edit. (i edited this on my phone with three editing apps, as well as having a cold, therefore not fully focused so excuse any discoloration or otherwise shitty editing LOL.) hopefully the other two will be done soon, i need to redo EIAL bc it doesn't have enough memes.
that's all. i forgot to put my ending card on there but i'm not going through the trauma of deleting half the apps on my phone to upload this onto my google drive. so uhhh subscribe for more garbage.

I love that idea, it rly adds to the "off" feeling/mood of the neighborhood
A little late but it could also be interpreted as evolving to have no sharp teeth, to represent that the suburban neighborhood has become so far removed from what made them human they literally devolved the tooth that helps them devour meat, which to me is equally as dystopian and unsettling.

the theatre kid to will wood fan pipeline is so real. but for real as someone who appreciates just how much character each song in a musical has, i feel like will woods music replicates that so well his discography could damn well be a musical on its own. the normal album is my favorite precisely because of the interconnected leitmotifs everywhere and the fact that it starts with a goddamn OVERTURE??!!!?!? like who DOES that outside of musical theatre. this guy thats who. anyways i have disproportionately strong feelings about some guy screaming into a mic.
i got too overwhelmed with emotion to finish what i was saying lmao but what i love about the normal album is while there are clear interconnected leitmotifs the songs are each so distinctly DIFFERENT. the first song from this album and the second will wood song overall that i heard was laplaces angel and god DAMN if that didnt get me hooked immediately. songs that both slap immensely and have substance in their lyrics?? sign me UP

ok you know how people make musicals based on musical artists and use their songs? i want something like that for will wood except instead of creating a new story, awkwardly cutting random songs together, or making about the journey the artist went through to get to this point, i want a musical _based on_ a will wood/wwattw album. self-ish the musical? yes. *in case i make it the musical?!* yes! *THE NORMAL ALBUM THE MUSICAL?* fuck yes! they can already follow good stories as albums, with a little stage choreography rather than video choreography they could make FANTASTIC musicals.

Idk what my favourite Will Wood songs are but I DO know that I really love the pre-chorus (question mark? the "who'd wanna be human anyway" portions) of Outliars and Hyppocrates and specifically that one part of Against The Kitchen Floor (Did I really have any of that gravity etc., but this applies to the whole song tbh) because they feel like they came out of The Road To El Dorado OST and it's just *chef's kiss * god I want this man to write a musical.
On a side note, my first experience with Will Wood was, IIRC, the meme video "Again, The Kitchen Floor(ever" I forget which precisely). After that I listened to the entirety of "in case I make it" and was promptly hooked.

For people who don't know, the chords there are F major (I), A major (III) which contains something not found in the key of F, that being C#, But it IS found in D minor, as the 7th scale degree. So then that resolves to a D minor chord (vi) because an A major chord is the dominant chord in D minor.
I fuckin love it, so cool. I'm not sure what the II chord at the end does though.
SECONDARY DOMINANTS ARE MY SHIT!!!!!! and i'm not really sure about the II chord either, but it wraps up that section very nicely imo. F-A-Dm-G7-Bb-C7 is absolutely the way to go.
