I know they didn't have secrets at the time but would be a good secret for Rogue tbh or even Hunter now with their theming over the last few expansions.

what is the best replacement for commander rhyssa? i feel like its not too important in the deck and that i can use dust with a more impactful card. i swapped it with nightmare amalgam but would like to know other options.

Why do you play redemption (or whatever the resurrect secret is) and then immediately hero power? It was like 3 times in a row (including once from the deathrattle) that you resurrected 1/1s?

Dragon Secret paladin is actually half decent. As a person who's never climbed past 15 it's gotten me all the way to rank 10 so far.
I can't get past rank 15. It's not my collection, its my lack of playing around cards. I think I trade well, but I often play into cards. If I try dragon secret pally, is it hard to pilot?

How to build and play mech secret paladin wrong by trump, step 1 hit the button step 2 combo noble sacrifice with redemption when you use redemption for nechs.
I feel like Desperate Measures is an amazingly designed card. Sure, it's simple - but behind that simplicity is a work of art. Paladin secrets are known for being notoriously bad - and because they're bad, very few are actually played. However, if you play Desperate Measures, your opponent won't know what secret you played at all based on the metagame - and could fall for one of the lesser known secrets.

Yea your either get dragon herald and dragon speaker on curve or you lose(assuming your dragon herald can be traded or dies by 5)

there is an optimal version, it runs whelps instead of eggs, Ashmore and Harrison jones and cuts the secrets like noble sacrifice , also making dudes when you have redemption active isn't great, you get way more value from a mech or bellringer sentry reviving
My conclusions from the comments are that secrets are okay and noble sacrifice isn’t as good as trump thinks it is

I honestly think the secret package is bad in this deck. It doesn’t make your weak matchups (Rogue, Zoo, Token, Murloc,
Control Shaman) winnable and it makes your strong matchups (Warrior, Book Mage) weaker.
Hes using wrong secrets, noble sacrifice wastes your redemption which you use for more annoyo trons. Then army bam won cause you have board of mechs.
Secret are insane. I just had token sac their whole board into a module with secrets.

I think the paladin package is bad in his deck. Replace Arthas with Garrosh or Rexxar if you want to utilize mechs

Games like the last one are why I run Eye for an Eye. A lot of the time you can get them down to 1-6/7 health and it's super frustrating, but watching them kill themselves is hilarious and by far the best way to win the game.

How come the deck doesn't play the twin spell? It can't be worse than an actual secret can it?
Can't be tutored with Bellringer, and Noble Sacrifice has anti-synergy with the deck as you only want to redemption Mechs. Also Eye for an Eye sucks pretty bad.
The reason it runs the secrets vs the twin spell is to get them out for free with bell ringer sentry.
Also, the only reason the secrets are good in the deck is for synergies like the spy/ mysterious blade. Those synergies only require you to have a single secret in play, so there's no advantage to having more than one out at time with the twin spell.
The secrets themselves are all pretty awful as stand alone cards, and playing 2 random ones is only slightly less awful than playing one. The twin spell might be ok if you 100% needed a secret out on every turn, or with a card like secret keeper that scales for each secret played, but in this deck it's pretty useless.

Ok, tried it, this deck is insane. Effortlessly running through Mech Warriors and Token Druids.

I feel like there's not enough good mech synergy in Paladin to be very stable. Maybe in Wild you can build a super consistent and strong Mech Paladin (most likely)
Mech pala (the good version) is tier 1.5
@Dani Castro figures, there's so much support in Wild. And isn't Mech Mage or Mech Hunter tier 1?
@@PrimeGamator in standard mech paly is tier 1 on hs replay. Trump was playing the bad version, and played the deck horribly if I my say so, hero powering with redemption up for example.

No it definitely wouldn't.
This deck Is actually tier 1 when built and played correctly. Check hs replay for the actual correct build.
Noble sacrifice completely plays against the decks purpose, and should be cut for a hidden wisdom. Mechano eggs are also cut for countless ashmore and Harrison.
Besides that, trump didn't exactly play the deck to its strengths, such as hero powering and playing noble sacrifice with redemption up for example.
Its sad because I see a lot of people discouraged from playing this deck just from this video.
When it comes to redemption, if multiple minions die at the same time, the left-most minion is resurrected.
I think people have vastly under estimated the tempo of magnetic decks. They were over shadowed in the last meta but I think you'll see more of them as this year goes on.

Its kinda trash , just hold a silence / hex type card and you can easily get a 5 card advantage off just letting them stack mechs.

Amuses me how people never learn not to magnetize everything onto 1 mech. Then wonder why their hand is empty and they have no minions after a silence.
Take out the secrets.... they do absolutely nothing
The secret package is supposed to provide early tempo so you don't get rolled. From there you can transition to a smooth mech midgame.
By using secrets you can play Fiery War Axe, Totem Golem and a little thinning.
The moral of this story is that paladin is dead.

20:08 is how the game works. It remembers when the initial card was summoned to the board even after transforming. This is exactly why you can Cube Anub'Arak, then play Anub'Arak again, polymorph him then kill the cube and summon sheeps instead of Anub'Araks.
That Mage almost threw. The play @11:11 was the tipping point. Mage likely could have had lethal if he Conjured Trump's taunt/lifesteal minion and went face. I guess he didn't know you could target enemy units?

With redemption, yes with auto defense matrix, not really. Auto defense matrix only triggers on the minion that was originally attacked. Attack an 8/8, triggers noble sacrifice, triggers auto defense matrix, 8/8 gains divine shield.
It might have been a bug or order dependent but that is what I have encountered

I hate how I always have ideas like this but I’m never able to see if they work or try them out because I can’t afford any of the decks I come up with :(
It's amazing how these streamers get so lucky, even when making a mistake.
1. At 3:38, he should have hit the his 1/1 into the 7/7 dragon, so it will die next turn hitting 6/6 Tirion.
2. At 4:31, he should have kill is 1/1 into the 5/2 dragon, so Redemption can revive his dragon.
I make these mistakes many time, and I usually lose because of it.
You lose because of an entire game, not one decision.

Maybe, also if you make it too obvious, the opponent is not going to trade/kill your minion and buffs his own minions or plays taunts

11:12 Opponent missed a (very likely) lethal, if he used the second copy of conjurers calling on the 15/14 Trump would be dead if it doesnt summon a taunt, which is very likely if not guaranteed. People really should at least read the card text before copy-pasting a deck, that was painful to watch.
Well There is rabble bouncer and the new rafaam, now that I think about it, but regardless it was a high chance lethal and it would deny so much health that it was the right play.
it's quite normal instinct to try to control the game and the board, especially against a paladin, when you have hand full of cards, full of value and opponent has next to nothing
I mean having a 10 card advantage and winning board is also 100% to win. Most people have day jobs that aren't playing hearthstone all day. It's a new expansion not all aspects of every new card is well known, But I'm sure you have never missed lethal before.
I hate these kind of decks that rely on high roll draw order. One game my starting hand was Tirion, Endless Army, Whelp for 6. I obviously mulligan it all, get Wargear, Wargear, secret. Turn 1 topdeck secret. Turn 2 topdeck another secret. Are you kidding me, this game is rigged or something?

Why is paladin this bad in this expansion again? I miss the days when paladin could actually outvalue certain classes even in a deep control game, paladin struggles to have those big swing turns
