We are probably the last generation, that work jobs. Factory bots will probably make most jobs absolete.
The mass unemployment caused by Generative AI's is a blessing in disguise as it will make the UBI necessary. The productivity of the AI will be exponential that majority of human jobs will be taken over by it. When the common man under no more compulsion to work for other human for money (profit) it will change the entire fabric of the human society.
What about increased crimes due to unemployment? Do you think in country like India poor can leave without any income?
