First of all thanks for the video! Just for your information: today I contacted to codesys hotline about the virtual controller. It was in the 4.7 linux sl only. THIS WILL BE OFFICIALLY RELEASED IN 4.12 NEXT WEEK!!!! 😎
Thanks … yes earlier it was only in 4.7 Linux….Yeah officially it is coming in next release ..with its own deployment tool .. I was testing beta version … Let’s see how it goes … Cheers ✌️
Great video Thx. Maybe you can add a part to explain how to do Modbus TCP & RTU using docker env. How to create the link between network and tty component. Have a good day !
Thanks ✌️ You can check this networking video : Codesys Virtual PLC Networking & Redundancy ua-cam.com/video/oNUx-A0iXrM/v-deo.html It talks about how to setup networking and use protocol to communicate ….
@@jugaadtech12 I am following you, you know also subscribed your dream channel. I search you IG and Linkedin but didn't find you to know you and your product. Are you available here?
Thanks for the video. I am trying to set it up but I am not able to find the "CODESYS Virtual control for Linux SL", I only can find the "CODESYS control for linux SL" Where can i find the right package? Also how do i get to the deploy Control SL tab? Thanks in advance!
Hello @Johnii currently this package is not available officially ...still it is beta phase so it will not be there in store.... Once it is available as package then you can download it and once you install the package then the Deploy SL tab will show in Tools Menu bar To Test you can CoDeSys control for Linux SL package 4.7... Open it with 7zip inside the package you can find virtual controller folder which will have package and details how to use without having deploy SL ...a little raw developer way of using it .... But don't get confuse with that , I am telling if you want to try .. ... The official package will be using deploy SL ...
@@jugaadtech12 Thanks for the quick reply! I tried to find the virtual controller in the package but could not find it. I just will be eagerly waiting for the official release of the virtual controller. Really exciting stuff, cant wait to set it up :) Have a nice day
Hi, sorry but i'm little confused. The new release 3.5.20 i can't find the Deploy SL tab will show in Tools Menu bar. Is Still it i beta phase? @@jugaadtech12
Have you tried running vPLC on Ubuntu CORE? I was inspired by your video, but I have problems establishing an ssh connection from Codesys Development to Ubuntu CORE
My pleasure if videos was able to Inspire you ....I have tried on Ubuntu ,virtual plc and I was able to connect using SSH and set up docker, vPLC ,gateway.
Ubuntu CORE does not have a user. An SSH connection is used to connect using a Public Key. Unfortunately, Codesys is unable to connect to Ubuntu CORE. From the putty or terminal level the connection works@@jugaadtech12
So CoDeSys provides an option to connect using the SSH key... Select the checkbox (✓SSH login based on key) You need to first add the SSH key in Tools-->Options-->Runtime deploy Tool ... Once it is added then you can be able to connect and bypass user based login ...
As ssh will not be available till next version of virtual PLC so I did something differently ….Check this out : CodesysTutorial: Deploy Virtual PLC on Ubuntu Core & Debian ua-cam.com/video/6IHUh9wFXL4/v-deo.html
Yes , vPLC can be realtime ...and it will be supported in all different OS ...what it needs is Docker, Python3 etc ...and main moto of this to have hardware agnostic ... So it has an arm and amd docker image as of now ... Still the final version yet to be released which will have more capability.... Yes it can work with other Linux also ... I am doing testing on other scenarios ..will be updating
