@doctortodoctor77777They're Muay Thai-sparring, why the fuck does he feel the need to implement MMA-takedowns? He got his ass kicked and searched for a way to redeem himself. No other way around it.
@fightme444 An illegal takedown in MT, so of course Superlek isn't prepared to defend it. So a pretty cheap takedown, honestly. The equivalent of punching a dude in the face while rolling in BJJ and being proud of your knockout.
Those big Yokkao shinpads make a lot of noise even when you kick lightly, some people are getting a false impression that they are going hard even though its very controlled
Was he cool with how hard the first few guys were going? He didn't try to obliterate them like other Thais but he still gave it to them without coming off offended
It just depends. They're throwing quick but it doesn't *necessarily* mean there's a lot of power behind it. Either way I'm sure he's experienced enough to handle it. The question is if they can handle what they get back lol
Bro sparred Superlek without a mouthguard and throwing bombs with 20-40lbs weight advantage 🤣 Well hey, paying 2K$+ for dental implants, instead of having a 30$ mouthguard on, is life choices.
I wouldn’t say the best. Muay Thai is far easier to train in over in Thailand compared to other countries. Far more time on your hands and the sport is everywhere, which means the money is everywhere. Hard to train like a Thai here in the US. Especially 10+ hrs of training each day like Buakaw since 8. Yeah, that’s crazy.
@@traceurs619 If Thais aren’t the best why do everyone across the world go to Thailand to train in Muay Thai. I don’t see anyone flooding to Europe or the US to train. Enough said🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
@@Chris-tm4zq They go there because they will have all the time they need to train. You’re not getting what I’m saying🤦♂️ Thais are only the best at Muay Thai because that’s literally all you guys do. And it’s unfair to judge others as a whole because no other country that does Muay Thai has the capabilities or the facilities to train Muay Thai as much as a Thai can. You can have Thais living in America be nowhere near as good at the sport than a Thai living in Thailand strictly because we have to work to make a living, we have nowhere near the amount of time you guys have for training. So the argument is one-sided. If an Anerican moved to Thailand at 7 and went straight into training Muay Thai at a Thai gym, he’d be equivalent to a Thai or better. But the fact that foreigners have nowhere near the amount of time on their hands to train and nowhere near the amount of time to have over 100 fights, and can STILL win over Thais on a regular basis with better accolades shows that it’s not Thailand that’s the best… give both sides the same amount of time to train in their lives and the winner could be either one. That’s like saying Americans are better at American football because foreigners suck at it… It’s an AMERICAN SPORT, of course we’re better at it, we play it as kids! The argument is bias, and that’s what I was trying to say
@@traceurs619 So your saying that the US doesn’t have any schools or training facility at all. Let’s face it we are the best in the world. No one can’t compare to us Thais 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
If it’s trained in the seminar, it’s a skill they’re hoping they learn. So training it in a spar to try and sweep the goats is what they’re hoping for. This is a Saenchai seminar, the goat of sweeps🤣 he enjoys to watch his buddies fall when his training works on his own team. You can also see many times that Superlek and Saenchai will hold their kicks up longer just so they can get in the habit of catching their kicks, and Saenchai is always seen motioning the guys to catch it when they’re sparring Superlek. It’s just disrespectful in regular gym sparring unless you tell your partner what you’re trying to practice more of so it’s to be expected.
it's a seminar, you pay big money to see the star and have the honor to get your ass whipped. Saenchai always send all his cartwheel kicks and shit in seminar. Pretty silly if the goal is for the beginners to learn something, but maybe it's not the goal of these kind of seminar.
Why would it be disrespectful? It's a huge part of the sport. This isn't regular kickboxing. It's also very likely that catching and sweeping were a part of the classes before the sparring, in which case the goal is always to try to apply and practice what you learned in class during the sparring. I'd say doing things like throwing spinning back fists and teeps to the face are far more disrespectful during sparring.
What people do really bad in sparring and fighting, is they are so unsmooth. They fight so ugly, like take your turn a little more, everyone just trying to force their strikes to land. Obviously there is a time and a place to break your rhythm and time something in between, but everyone just forces everything and crashes into each other its so ugly. The only thing good about it is makes it easier for me to win.
LOVE : The little girl immediately going for the clinch 😂
DON'T LOVE: Superlek controlling someone in the clinch , and they go to an MMA takedown 🤨🤨
its all love dawg
Superlek is the goat
Love how saenchai is stirring in the background 🤣

That 2nd dude got such a chip. "Yeah I got the takedown"

@doctortodoctor77777kinda like getting a chance to spar with floyd mayweather but you decide to double leg him lol

BRILLIANT!!!

Some slick head movements there ❤
It's crazy how Superlek noticed the little crown falling out of that guy's mouth during sparring lol, that level of attention to detail is crazy

So gentle on newbies! Sean Strickland must learn from him.
That looked more like 75-80% sparring. 😳😳

Right? He was so good
2nd dude needs his ego checked cause that takedown was just goofy 😂

Notice is exhales and breathing
3:20 Did she had a longer spar again SuperLek than Haggerty had fighting him?!?!??!?!
omg Saenchai is there too!

He wasn't throwing bombs, he held every punch that he threw, and the whole spar was light.. and it's a crown, they fall out all the time.. chill.
Lol he was throwing at 30% power
what bomb?

I’ve never understood why sweeping is disrespectful it should be trained more in every spar
@@Xal1991 Exactly! It trains you and your partner on stance strength and great foundation and sweep defense.

its really fun and not really a good idea to drop such videos - in terms of reputation of those gyms. sorry
