Brilliant, thanks. I making my first visit to the Model Railway Society of Ireland, they have a layout set up in Dublin, so I hope to be able to ask them about their experiences and inspirations. I haven’t messed with trains since about 19, now I’m 51. Brilliant video by the way, you explain and narrate very well indeed, very naturally, and put yourself across well. You seem to make it professional but do-able! And you’ll be glad to know I downloaded ‘Mr Porter’, I must admit I do absolutely love that era! I’ll be using Irish Railway Models stock though, black and tan livery, late 80’s, just before the electric trains came along. Very fond memories of Irelands old clanking squealing and very slow but very nostalgic 1950’s diesels!
Absolutely fascinating to see how this was built up - and the results are very impressive. And you're right - Oh Mr Porter is probable one the funniest films ever made. 🙂
That’s excellent Tom. Your voice over is really good, the detail and quality is brilliant. Your style is really engaging and comfortable to listen to. Your modelling gives me the confidence to try. I am new to n scale modelling and will definitely be buying from you. Andy Stocks
Great video!!! Appreciated the modelling tips. This could be a bit of useless information, but the Tanfield Railway had some luggage on a barrow with Buggleskelly labels!!!!
The bridge looked fantastic. Your layout really captures the atmosphere of Buggleskelly - Forlorn!

Great video...adding an aging bridge and buffers stop makes that scene very interesting..
Fantastic! I love the use of (mostly) common materials as opposed to hugely expensive commercial stuff. That said, I guess grass costs a lot!
Thanks Alan, the static grass isn't too bad really. I think a £5 bag would do a good couple of metres.
Lovely job
Very enjoyable and informative video
Thanks Ian, your comment prompted me to watch this again :)
Just come across your video, really enjoyed it, looks as if you have a lovely layout, lots of detail which I really like, cheers for now John

Thanks, nice techniques there. I’ll be well pleased if my Buggleskelly turns out half as well.

Perfectly useless thanks :)
or should I say 'You're Wasting Your Time!'
@@BuggleskellyStation I don't think the siding where Gladstone was stored was right alongside signal box in the film
@@eliotreader8220 It wasn't. This is my interpretation, not following the film exactly.
Amazing! Just found this youtube site, and a fan of Will Hay. Just amazing ^_^
Excellent some nice modelling and a few great hints and tips thank you
Excellent video - tx.....
Absolutely brilliant Tom.
The bridge looks amazing. If they did include it in Oh Mr Porter how did you think it would play out?
