    #DidYouKnow: Engineers apply Newton's third law when designing rockets and other projectile devices. During the launch, the burning fuel exerts a downward force, and the reaction force pushes the rocket into the air.

    In my 10 years of teaching physics I found that the 3rd law was by far the most difficult for students to understand. When asked about pushing a car uphill with a force of 300N, I say the car starts slipping backwards. The car is still pushing on your hands with the same 300N you are using to push, but they refuse to understand that in many cases.

  • @bhuvi441
    @bhuvi441 7 років тому +8

    The point that the video missed is that the 3rd law is between forces that interact between 2 different bodies (action force on the boat and reaction force acting on the person). So you would say that since the net force here is 0 would'nt this result in no change to the motion of the object/person ? Not really ! Because newtons 1st and 2nd law had dealt with forces/net forces acting on the same object unlike the 3rd law which acts on different objects ! :) Should have emphasized on this too but nevertheless great video !
